1/19/23: ILLUMINATING ARMAGEDDON W/ DON VIA JR.

Ron Patton | January 19, 2023

Russia has recently announced they are willing to initiate the “Dead Man’s Switch” if NATO continues its expansion and doesn’t back off with regard to the war in Ukraine.  Furthermore, Putin may announce a second mobilization wave to expand his army in the coming days. Of course, this harrowing news has been completely negated by the US and Western media.  What we are potentially facing is mutually assured destruction with a limited nuclear weapons exchange where many will die and those who survive will envy the dead.  Tonight on Ground Zero, Clyde Lewis talks with geopolitical analyst, Don Via Jr. about ILLUMINATING ARMAGEDDON.

1/19/23: ILLUMINATING ARMAGEDDON W/ DON VIA JR.

SHOW TRANSCRIPT:

At a time when the course of civilization seems to be more uncertain than ever, driven toward pessimism and even despair, it becomes apparent that a turning point may take us down a road that has been less traveled or not traveled at all.

The rapid increases in technology in recent decades are shortening the times we once had to act and think about actions that promote a thriving collective. It also has pushed us to the edge, making us colder socially and leading us down a path of being less sympathetic to our fellow man.

It has been clear for some time, that a large-scale nuclear war involving a substantial portion of the nuclear arsenals of the United States and Russia would have devastating consequences far beyond these two countries and would constitute a truly global catastrophe.

Striking a similar tone at what he described as an anxious time for Russia, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church said in a sermon for Epiphany that trying to destroy Russia would mean the end of the world.

These words may indicate that something that was once described as a Cold War legend may be true after all.

The war between Russia and Ukraine and everyone else has now been threatened with the use of a Dead Man’s Switch.

The Dead Man’s Switch is a bit of a legend that during the Cold War, the Soviets would force a scorched earth policy if they were ever challenged or met defeat in a major war,

It was alleged that Hitler had one too, and many historians believe that after World War II German spies that were brought over during Project Paper clip created the missile gap – hoping that both USA and Soviets would trigger mutually assured destruction.

The reason the Soviets decided to build the Dead Hand system at all had to do with advancements in American missile technology in the 1980s. Before these advancements, the expectation was that a nuclear war would be initially fought with intercontinental ballistic missiles.

ICBMs typically are detectable, and the target country generally has about 30 minutes of warning, just enough time for them to launch a counter-strike of their own, making the end result mutually assured destruction.

However, in the 1980s, Americans were getting better and better accuracy with their submarine-based missile launch systems, which meant that they could launch precision nuclear strikes close to the Soviet Union, cutting the warning time from when launch was detected down to about three minutes – not enough time to mount a viable counter-attack.

The Soviets needed some way to be sure destruction could be assured mutually, which is where the Dead Hand doomsday device comes in.

The Dead Hand/Perimeter system was initially just a backup system for emergency communication but was expanded to provide a full automatic counterstrike function. The heart of the system is something known as the “commanding rocket.”

The commanding rocket was a 15PO11 rocket with a radiation-hardened radio transmitter, instead of a nuclear warhead. The rocket would be launched from a special, very protected silo, and once in flight, the rocket’s transmitter would replace all of the presumably destroyed ground-based communications, sending commands to receiving devices on all land-based ballistic missiles, submarine-based launchers, and bomber aircraft.

The rocket’s commands to the nuclear weaponry and installations would be to launch a retaliatory strike to pre-determined targets.

Of course, all of this would only happen after it was determined that a first strike against Soviet territory had taken place. An autonomous command and control system was used to determine if the counter-attack should take place, and the entire system is only even activated if a high-ranking human decides to turn it on, ideally long before the actual nuclear strike takes place.

Now we have spoken on this program about the eerie numbers stations that broadcast codes and numbers to spies and other informants. One of the stations we have featured is UVB-76 – the Russian Buzzer that broadcasts on the frequency 4625 kHz.

It broadcasts short, monotonous buzz tones, repeating at a rate of approximately 25 tones per minute, 24 hours per day. Sometimes, the buzzer signal is interrupted and a voice transmission in Russian takes place.

It has been that the voice messages are some sort of Russian military communications and that the buzzing sound is merely a “channel marker” used to keep the frequency occupied, thereby making it unattractive for other potential users. It has also been suggested that the Buzzer is part of the Dead Hand system –where the signal is there to indicate that the rocket system is online and that if it stops a nuclear retaliatory response will happen if Russia were hit by a nuclear attack.

The development and deployment of nuclear weapons are usually based on the assumption that they enhance national security. But, in fact, nuclear weapons move nations toward the brink of destruction.

The basis for this conclusion is the post-World War II nuclear arms race and, especially, the Cuban missile crisis of October 1962. At the height of the crisis, top officials from the governments of the United States and the Soviet Union narrowly avoided annihilating a substantial portion of the human race by what former U.S. Secretary of State Dean Acheson, an important participant in the events, called “plain dumb luck.”

Luck is running out now as Russia, The US and NATO are about to make some very important plans for the future of the war because there have been some developments that the mainstream media has again failed to report.

Those familiar with the problem/reaction/solution way of doing things (where the solution is offered up by those that created the problem to serve their own ends) need to realize that perhaps the solution has already happened. The end game was already in the cards –and this open-ended war replaced Afghanistan and feels like the quagmire of Vietnam.

We are literally looking at the war in Ukraine and wanting the wrong thing — or perhaps it doesn’t matter what we want as this is a well-planned machine that we have no say in how it ends.

We are all potential casualties in this war.

We are just the inconvenient herds that they in turn feel the need to manage and mislead– or if we cannot be controlled it would be much easier to cull those who just happen to object to having the trauma continue.

Yes, we understand the world is a mess and the globalists had to do something. But the problem is, bureaucrats and leaders and technocrats and bankers are the ones “least” likely to understand how to fix it.

They just know how to finance it and arm it with war toys and all sorts of mechanized death.

The people have been far too trusting.

They’re just following orders after all believing they’re following good guys. Believing they are serving the Greater Good without understanding who defines the Greater Good.

In Wars like these there are no good guys –and politics tells you to pick a side — but no one knows enough about why we are in the position and a majority are not even qualified to take a side.

Surviving what’s possibly coming on the way to their utopia makes all these distinctions irrelevant and figuring that out is the scary part. It is scary because people’s good intentions were weaponized to this global end and few figured it out.

All these groups were divided from each other. Deliberately. This is so when things get really bad, the groups will fight each other over who the bad guys are.

We are all apparently puttering about on the same planet no matter what you might be or believe—for thousands of years of civilization. And when things are taken too far and too fast and to extremes, everybody loses. Gains won over time can disappear in a flash. And all those with well-intended but deliberately separate agendas will not find their utopia.

What we are facing is a grand finale where many will die and those who survive will envy the dead.

On Friday, January 13,  Russia’s U.N. Ambassador, Vassily Nebenzia, told the members of the U.N. Security Council, which includes all of the “Big 5” Permanent Members, including., China, France, and UK, that a negotiated end of the war in Ukraine “will only present itself once Ukraine stops posing a threat to Russia and discriminating against Russian-speaking Ukrainians,” and that, “If this result can be achieved through negotiations, we stand ready for this scenario. If not, then our tasks will be achieved by military means,” meaning that Ukraine’s current government will be replaced by one that will be imposed upon that country by means of that government’s surrender to Russia’s Government.

This was an extremely important statement. It indicates that Russia will not negotiate an end to its invasion of Ukraine unless and until Ukraine’s government will first have accepted Russia’s fundamental terms — which Russia had actually stated on 24 February 2022 when starting its invasion — and that there no longer remain any other demands by Ukraine’s government upon Russia’s Government that Russia’s Government will consider or discuss with anyone. First must come Ukraine’s acceptance of those demands by Russia.

This reflects a historic turning point in the war. It means that either Ukraine and its allies — especially the U.S. — will defeat Russia in this war, or else Russia will defeat the U.S. and its allies in this war. It lays down the gauntlet, to the United States Government, and to its allies on the Security Council — France and UK — that either Russia or else the U.S. and its allies (including all of NATO) will win this war; or else the U.S. and its allies (including Ukraine’s government) will peaceably accept Russia’s basic demand, that “Ukraine stops posing a threat to Russia and discriminating against Russian-speaking Ukrainians.”

In order for Ukraine to “stop posing a threat to Russia,” Ukraine and its allies would need to guarantee that Ukraine will NEVER become a member of the U.S. Government’s anti-Russian NATO military alliance, nor ever become in any other way a military ally of the U.S. Government. Russia will accept Ukraine’s returning to its prior neutrality, which it had during the period 1991 up to 20 February 2014, or else to become an ally of Russia, but Russia will no longer accept (as it had during 20 February 2014 to 24 February 2022) Ukraine’s being allied with Russia’s enemies. Russia won’t ever accept that, he is saying.

Nebenzia’s historic announcement on Friday the 13th was completely negated by the US and Western media.

This creates the need to ask How many times have the public in U.S.-and-allied countries been lied to about invasions their Governments had made on the basis of falsehoods that their ‘news’-media knew at the time were false but nonetheless reported to them as being true?

How many times have those ‘news’-media reported as being ‘a democratic revolution’ the overthrow of a foreign Government when those ‘news’-media knew, either while it was going on or else less than a month afterward, that it had actually been just another U.S. coup — and yet that same ’ news’-media still, even to this day, refuse to refer to that coup as having been a “coup”?

There might be a very good reason as to why.

There have been some very interesting moments in this past week concerning security threats with the airlines and security concerns at the World economic forum

Many members had bowed out including George Soros and Klaus Schwab showed up for a small moment after he declared that he had an illness and wouldn’t attend.

A Contingency form Ukraine which included Volodymyr Zelensky’s wife — and eventually the Ukrainian president by Zoom arrived to ask many of the government represented that the time is now to supply Ukraine with Money and weapons to defeat Russia.

Literally a call to war and mass participation from many countries of the world.

“The world must not hesitate today and ever,” the Ukrainian leader told the World Economic Forum via a video link. “Mobilization of the world must outpace the next military mobilization of our joint enemy. The supplying of Ukraine with air defense systems must outpace Russia’s next missile attacks,”

The Biden administration is planning to send Stryker armored vehicles in its next package of military aid to Ukraine, adding another new and more powerful weapons system that it had previously withheld, people familiar with the matter have stated.

The US plans to send about 100 Stryker armored vehicles to Ukraine as part of a new package of military aid worth about $2.5 billion.

The US was poised to unveil a new aid package as part of a broader announcement by western allies of new hardware for Ukraine that’s set for Friday, when defense ministers meet at Ramstein Air Base in Germany,

Or some have speculated that there is enough reason to abandon our sideline stance –and call upon NATO allies to move forward with escalating the effort to defeat Russia.

There have been some major developments in what can only be seen as a progression towards world war in the European theater,

Russian President Vladimir Putin could be ready to announce another mobilization round as Russia looks to bolster its armed forces in Ukraine, analysts believe.

Putin may announce a second mobilization wave to expand his army in the coming days.

Timing is everything.

Russia has repeatedly insisted that it would not embark on a second mobilization wave, following an initial partial draft of military reservists that called up 300,000 men last September. The move sparked consternation in Russia and prompted many of those eligible for the draft to flee the country.

Fears of another potential mobilization grew with the onset of winter. Putin said in December that he saw no need for a second draft, noting that half of the men called up had already been deployed in Ukraine, while the others were in training centers.

Last Friday, Ukrainian Defense Ministry intelligence officials said that they believed that preparations for a second wave of mobilization were underway, suspecting Russia aims for an army of 2 million people.

Preparations for the announcement of the next wave of mobilization in Russia are already actively underway. At the legislative level, changes are being made to the laws of the Russian Federation that regulate mobilization. Active training of training centers is also underway.

Moscow has made no secret of looking to expand its forces in the next few years. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu in December laid out proposals to increase military personnel to 1.5 million by 2026, from 1.1 million at present.

On Tuesday, Shoigu laid out more comprehensive plans to reform and restructure the army over the next few years, saying that “only by strengthening the key structural components of the Armed Forces is it possible to guarantee the military security of the state and protect new entities and critical facilities of the Russian Federation

Kremlin press secretary Peskov said later Tuesday that the changes were necessary because of the “proxy war” that the West is fighting against Russia in Ukraine.

The proxy engagement, he said, “includes elements of indirect participation in hostilities, and elements of economic, financial war, legal war, going beyond the legal field, and so on.

There are very important meetings happening within 48 hours that will speak about how we can no longer stand on the sidelines while others do the heavy lifting.

A rush of meetings is taking place in the U.S. and Europe, solidifying still more backing for the Global NATO war mobilization, before the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting at the U.S. Ramstein Air Base in Germany on Jan. 20.

Yesterday and today the Military Committee of NATO, its highest body, is meeting in Brussels. It will be a meeting of the Military Committee in Chiefs of Defense Session, with 32 Chiefs of Defense, from the 30 member nations plus counterparts from Finland and Sweden. Admiral Rob Bauer, Chief of the NATO Military Committee, will preside.

On the same day as the World Economic Forum meeting –Britain’s Foreign Secretary James Cleverly met with Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington DC.  Cleverly met in Toronto with Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly yesterday.

Cleverly spoke at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, saying that the West is sending a message to Putin, that we will “support Ukrainians until they are victorious.

At the White House President, Joe Biden met with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, who indicated Dutch support for co-supplying the Patriot air defense system.

Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley met in Poland—at a secret location—with the head of Ukraine’s armed forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, who reported later that he had “outlined the urgent needs” of the Ukraine military. On Jan. 16 Milley reviewed Ukrainian troop training at the base in Grafenwöhr, Germany. Some 600 Ukrainian soldiers are said to be in training, but smaller groups have been run through the program there before. Col. David Butler, a spokesman for Milley, said that the current training is an extension of what the U.S. has been doing since 2014, with international backing.

Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kiev on Jan. 16, for the purpose of reviewing economic and security matters, to “reaffirm” U.S. support “against Russia’s unprovoked aggression,” according to her department. She also met with Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. Prior to that, she was in Germany and Poland, for meetings on Ukraine, along with Under Secretary of Defense Dr. Colin H. Kahl and Principal Deputy National Security Advisor Jon Finer.

Russia has repeatedly said it plans to boost deployments in the northwest in response to a pending expansion of NATO, where Finland and Sweden are in the process of joining, with their applications ratified by 28 of 30 alliance members.

The  Chiefs of Defense from all the NATO States including Finland and Sweden who are not NATO members yet.

But as we reported they are being invited to join.

Many people may or may not know what this might do and how this can send the war into a major conflict.

There is going to be a huge meeting converging on U.S. Ramstein Air Base on January 20th to talk about how they are going to fight the Russians. General Mark Milley of the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s meeting with the commander of Ukrainian Armed Forces Valerii Zaluzhnyi on the border of Poland and Ukraine was a secret location.

This is something that hasn’t happened before. This same week we have the World economic forum — which has been concerned about security measures — that has timed their meeting to coincide with this historical pairing.

Many wonder if this is a foreshadowing of full-scale war against Russia beginning this Friday.

This will be a benchmark watershed moment that could escalate the ongoing war.

This is a big deal –why would 32 men meet together at an American airbase unless this was going to be a turning point in the war.

On the question of NATO expansion, the US cites the principle of the free and sovereign right of states to choose their own security alignments. At the same time, Russia cites the principle of the indivisibility of security: the assurance that the security of one state should not be bought at the expense of the security of another. Both principles are enshrined in international law and in international agreements. Both are legitimate, but the two are contradictory. Hence the conflict.

The US has insisted on the right of states to choose their own security alignments as a justification for NATO’s open door to Ukraine. If every state can choose its alignments, then Ukraine has the sovereign right to choose membership in NATO. Russia has insisted on the indivisibility of security as a justification for opposing NATO’s expansion to its borders and the flooding of Ukraine with lethal offensive weapons. Both principles are right. But they proved to be contradictory and ultimately undermined the two sides’ ability to peacefully co-exist.

Russia holds that peace can be attained by a balance of powers in which the interests of all nations are respected.  But there seems to be no attempt at de-escalation –and this meeting may foreshadow and even larger deployment of troops to Ukraine– boots on the ground — and limited Nuclear exchanges.

Part of the inability of the US and Russia to see each other’s perspective or to resolve their differences is grounded in their commitment to equally legitimate but incompatible international laws.

Again, we need to brace ourselves with yet another historic turning point in this proxy war — it may no longer be that kind of war as this meeting is vital to the future of the war.

The economic bond between Russia, China, Iran and others keeps growing. Now Saudi Arabia is serious about increasing trade with China using their currency and not the US petrodollar. If they do it others will follow. The economic outlook for the west is not good. Our high prices are not going down, even though people are buying less because they cant afford things anymore. I am noticing that the Ukraine war is also a major economic war. Like probably the biggest economic war ever. The winners will take all. Whoever loses will be done for. This could definitely lead to a nuclear exchange.

I understand that back at the end of March, 2022, when there were negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, that the Ukrainian delegates told the Russian delegates, ” we aren’t in joining NATO, or the E.U.,” and that the Russian response was, “we don’t care if you join the E.U.” As for those two contradictory doctrines of sovereignty vs indivisibility, they should try sitting at a negotiating table to try to work things out by splitting the differences, no matter how polliannaish it may seem or apple pie in the sky. Why don’ t the Russians consider joining NATO, afterall, perish the thought, if they had won the COLD WAR, they would have forced, or tried to force us and all of the NATO countries and the rest of the west to join the WARSAW PACT.

Not trying to sound too callous nor insensitive here, but if the ,” Russian speaking people of Ukraine,” don’t want to feel discriminated against, perhaps they should learn to, and speak Ukrainian in public, as well as assimilate generally into Ukraianian society or consider returning to Ruaaia, from where Stalin moved them in order to create this divisive situation.
