10/24/22: PILOT LIGHTS W/ BEN HANSEN

Posted on October 24th, 2022 by Clyde Lewis

A top U.S. spy chief said pilots nationwide were reporting numerous UFO sightings that could be of alien origin. Avril Haines, the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) admitted that strange encounters with unidentified flying objects need to be highlighted for more investigation and thus, gain a better understanding of these unidentified aerial phenomena. Recently, pilots from Southwest Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and several others spotted multiple aircraft in the night sky,  leaving them scratching their heads, wondering what was happening. Tonight on Ground Zero, Clyde Lewis talks with Ben Hansen, former FBI agent, aviator, and host of the Discovery+ show, undefinedUFO Witnessundefined, about PILOT LIGHTS.

SHOW TRANSCRIPT:

I have always made the argument that stories about UFOs and aliens are part of the Halloween season as they have always been a subject that remains a big unknown and that many of our alien films apart from Spielberg’s E.T. have been horror films. In fact many people do not know that the cute E.T. movie was supposed to be a horror film.

After the success of undefinedClose Encounters of the Third Kind,” Columbia wanted to make a sequel. Steven Spielberg had no interest, but after the release of undefinedJaws 2undefined from Universal, Spielberg wanted to be involved somehow.

Spielberg wrote a treatment titled undefinedWatch the Skiesundefined (the original title for undefinedClose Encountersundefined) based on the famed Kelly-Hopkinsville encounter.

A Kentucky family claimed they witnessed strange lights in the sky and then were terrorized by stout undefinedgoblinsundefined peering in their windows. Spielberg first heard this strange story from J. Allen Hynek, a UFOlogist who worked on undefinedClose Encounters.undefined After undefinedWatch the Skiesundefined was renamed undefinedNight Skiesundefined because someone owned the rights to the phrase, Spielberg wrangled genre-legend John Sayles, who had just written undefinedPiranhaundefined for director Joe Dante, to flesh out the screenplay.

Saylesundefined draft depicted a small group of malicious aliens — Squirt, Skar, Klud and Hoodoo — that threaten a rural family and brutally kill livestock with one touch of their long, bony finger, which emits an eerie light — kind of like what E.T. did.

But the script was shelved and rewritten to be a story about ghosts and demons plaguing a family — that film was called Poltergeist.

Kind of funny how goblins, ghosts and all things paranormal seem to be interchangeable. Some argue that aliens are too.  That is why they remain a terrifying idea at Halloween or any time of year.

It was around this time of year in October, 1938 that actor Orson Welles announced to audiences in a chilling radio performance that Martians were invading New Jersey, leading terrified listeners to believe that Earth was under attack by hostile aliens.

Wellesundefined infamous performance was a dramatization of the H.G. Wells science-fiction classic, undefinedThe War of the Worlds, undefined and was part of a weekly series of dramatic broadcasts created in collaboration with the Mercury Theatre on the Air for CBS, according to a transcript of the program.

Thanks to decades of space research, understanding of extraterrestrial life has come a long way since Wellesundefined radio play — we have turned what was terrifying fiction into intriguing reality — but to some people, aliens are not all that welcome.

To some, aliens are horrifying — some say that they believe they are denizens from hell.

A modern announcement about alien creatures would likely spur more of a mixed response today than undefinedThe War of the Worldsundefined did in 1938.

There may be a little bit of fear out there — if we realized the intent of the aliens were to enslave us and maybe use us for food and breeding.

Two of mankind’s most primal fears are the unknown and the dark. So it’s no surprise that throughout history, the stories we’ve told ourselves have caused us to look up into the sky and ponder (and dread) the terrors that could be lurking in the vast, unknown depths of outer space.

But what is more terrifying is that, lately, we have been getting more unknown messages from other areas of space, and many UFO appearances that may indicate that what is happening up there is a case of unfinished business.

With the James Webb telescope, scientists are able to see many worlds and pick up various signals. However, what is the most chilling is that these signals could be the last breath of a dying planet.

As in what Obi wan Kenobi said in Star Wars, It would be like millions of voices cried out in terror and were mysteriously silenced.

Realistically, any sort of distress message or epitaph/gravestone message left would be the most terrifying thing to hear. While we could have a planetary disaster wipe us out, to find hard evidence of it happening would make the threat that much more real.

We know that people die everyday, but it all changes when an entire block gets taken out by an explosion or a tornado. A planetary disaster would be a really terrifying thought.

If many of these alien beings escaped their fate — or if they have been watching us from an outpost in the Jovian system using Bracewell probes that would partly explain why we are seeing strange UFO sightings.

We have reported how active the skies are with regard to UFOundefineds. We are actually learning from every report that people from all walks of life have had a UFO experience of some kind.

The idea of an alien incursion and the idea of UFOs being a threat to national security has now been taken seriously by the government.

If something is violating your airspace and performing maneuvers that defy our understanding of physics, maneuvers that no known aircraft can perform, you’re going to want to take a closer look.

The military and other groups are more interested in what is out there than what the mainstream media would have you believe.

Reporting UFO sightings and then recording them is incredibly complex. UFO investigations are simply an intellectual vortex that can easily addict you, draw you in, and still tell you very little about the fundamentals which lie below. It may be a Black Hole that has no bottom, and which defies all academic “laws of nature” inside its event horizon.

Not long ago, we were tossing around the idea that we would be getting the affirmation of where we stand in the universe. For several decades most people who had a keen interest in exposing the truth about life in space continued to face an uphill battle to get the government to disclose what it knows about UFO phenomena.

The massive code of silence that has been kept among politicians, scientists and media about disclosure of the phenomenon and the ridicule of witnesses, reflect, in part, the ways in which dominant political/economic groups enforce their collective will. And to a great extent, they have succeeded in keeping a partial lid on the situation.

With the recent military disclosure about UFOs, it appears that many of the major TV networks that are stuck with time to fill have diverted their attention to finding out the truth about just what is being disclosed and what isn’t.

For science, the new focus on deep space exploration, fully-funded and operating with larger budgets for research and development, could provide information about our solar system than what science knows now. It could signal new data for physicists to hone their understanding of space, time, gravity and more. It could revolutionize our understanding of biology, geology and metallurgy.

There is also a matter of how aliens are trying to enter into our spirituality.

With the new UFO reality now comes the arguments and the divisive causes that are being pushed by people that have made UFOs and aliens part of their spiritual path. There are a few researchers now that have rejected the information being disseminated by intelligence operatives because it was leaked that the Pentagon saw the UFO phenomenon as a threat to national security.

Whether or not you believe that the aliens are our saviors — they still pose a significant threat to air traffic and to our Nuclear arsenals.

USA TODAY in their weekend edition reported that NASA announced 16 people will be designated to study unidentified flying objects during a groundbreaking nine-month-long process.

The team will use unclassified data to undefinedlay the groundwork for future studyundefined of UFOs by analyzing how the data is gathered by the public, local government and other sources in an effort to gain a better understanding of what events are natural or not.

The study comes amid several recent major breakthroughs in the renewed interest in UFOs.

Last November, the U.S. Pentagon announced its plans to launch a new office aimed to track and assess unidentified flying objects spotted in military training airspace.

The Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group (AOIMSG) was launched to work alongside other federal agencies to “detect, identify and attribute” UFOs and to undefinedassess and, as appropriate, mitigate any associated threats to safety of flight and national security.undefined

A bipartisan amendment was introduced in Congress by New York senator and former Democratic presidential candidate Kirsten Gillibrand, which aimed to create a more expansive military and intelligence program to study numerous reported UFO sightings of unidentified flying objects by the U.S. Navy and Air Force.

The amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act establishing an undefinedAnomaly Surveillance and Resolution Officeundefined with the approval to pursue undefinedany resource, capability, asset, or process of the Department and the intelligence communityundefined to investigate sightings of UFOs or UAPs within the U.S. Department of Defense was being discussed in Congress.

The amendment expanded beyond a previous change made to the House version of the bill, as well as other previous public efforts to study UAPs and UFOs.

Gillibrand, who serves on the Armed Services and Intelligence committees, said she was urged to introduce the amendment due to “repeated reports over the last two or three years of these increased sightings by Navy pilots and Air Force pilotsundefined and believes possible explanations on the sightings are so varied, which calls for a dedicated effort.

A top U.S. spy chief said pilots nationwide were reporting numerous UFO sightings that could be of alien origin in November 2021.

Avril Haines, the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) overseeing all 16 of the nationundefineds spy agencies, spoke publicly at the ‘Our Future in Space’ event at the Washington National Cathedral on November 10th, 2021 and fielded questions about UFOs, amid the growing national security debate following years of related conspiracy theories.

Haines admitted that strange encounters with unidentified flying objects need to be highlighted for more investigation to gain a better understanding.

undefinedThe main issues that Congress and others have been concerned about are safety of flight concerns and counterintelligence issues, undefined Haines said during the event.

undefinedAlways there’s also the question of undefinedis there something else that we simply do not understand, which might come extraterrestrially?’undefined

Yuval Noah Nerari, who is an Israeli counselor to Klaus Schwab of the World economic forum, spoke recently about the new alien intelligence and alien invasion.

He says undefinedThe New Thing is a kind of alien presence that is on earth.undefined He goes on to say that it is a new alien intelligence that has invaded our lives — not from space, but from laboratories all over the world.

He says the alien can be found in the advanced intelligence technology. This makes us wonder if that technology was alien in the first place and that these self-appointed leaders have it and will use it against us.

This sends a chilling message about alien reality.

It has been a while since we have talked about UFOs and possible alien encounters — but now after a major sighting by airline pilots — it is time to investigate what appears to be an alien incursion from the Big Dipper.

I know that sounds very sixties science fiction — but the latest unknown craft reports literally come from the direction of the big dipper and were stalking many commercial aircraft.

Pilots from Southwest Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines and several others spotted multiple aircraft in the night sky — leaving them scratching their heads and wondering what was happening.

This incident was reported in the national news briefly and appeared in the New York Post.

Ben Hansen, former FBI agent and host of the Discovery+ show, undefinedUFO Witnessundefined, procured footage and air traffic control recordings of mid-air UFO sightings by the pilots.

A former military pilot said that he witnessed several aircraft flying above him.

While flying a charter jet off the Los Angeles coast, Pilot Mark Hulsey radioed the air traffic control on August 18th asking, undefinedWeundefinedve got a few aircraft to our north here and heundefineds going around in circles, much higher altitude than us. Any idea what they are?undefined

The controller said that he was not sure.

In just 23 minutes, Hulsey reported that he spotted seven such aircraft, flying above him between 5,000 to 10,000 feet, which was initially three.

They were flying above the craft in circles.

Hansen said that the pilot who has claimed that he spotted strange lights was undefinedseen by upwards of 15 different commercial flights. And at least six pilots are willing to go on record with their names and everything if asked to do so by any investigative agencies, undefined he said.

Last year, the Department of Defense launched a new outfit tasked with finding and identifying UFOs in restricted airspace after Washington officials admitted they could not explain the phenomena of UFO sightings.

As you may know, there were several senators in Washington that wanted to back away from UFO studies because many stated it conflicted with their religious beliefs — saying that there is a satanic element to all of these encounters.

Truth is, we are living in a Fortean reality with apocalyptic sights and sounds on an increase that permeate the senses of those receptive to such synchromystic phenomenon. The world has no longer become consistent and what we are experiencing cannot be explained in simple terms.

With relentless speculation, multiple mind-blowing streams of thought completely shatter preconceived notions of perception, time and space. It is as true in physics as cultural engineering. It is difficult to grasp without egocentricity that everything we experience is a form of virtual reality.

Although most people have, if not a conviction, at least a sneaking suspicion there is more to the UFO story than weather balloons or military tests. Disclosing the extraterrestrial reality will still result in a great shock.

The novelty is wearing off and the reality of it all is setting in.

SHOW GUEST: BEN HANSEN

Ben Hansen has been actively researching and lecturing on the UFO subject at global conferences for the past 12 years.  He has appeared on dozens of TV shows and documentaries related to UFO/extraterrestrial topics, including the Syfy Channel, History, Smithsonian, CW, and currently hosts a UFO series on Discovery+.  His background includes investigating child sex crimes at state and federal agency levels.  Ben took an interest in the UAP subject specifically in the area of aviation reports because he himself is a licensed airplane and seaplane pilot.  Ben completed a Bachelorundefineds Degree in Sociology with a certification in Criminology and Corrections at the University of Utah and a Master’s Degree in Emergency and Disaster Management at Georgetown University.  His thesis paper introduced the concept of global Reality Compromising Events, using the hypothetical scenario of extraterrestrial contact to explore the reality transformations and cascading societal effects that might likely occur in such a psychologically intensive event.
