2/25/20: VOYAGE OF THE WRAITH

MONOLOGUE WRITTEN BY CLYDE LEWIS

In the 1940s, science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke wrote a short story called ‘The Sentinel‘ for a BBC competition that was a compelling story about an alien artifact left on the moon that constantly sent signals out into deep space.

The artifact was tetrahedral in shape, made of a polished metal and has a spherical force field surrounding it. For eons, this artifact was a warning beacon to intelligent life and other space explorers that wanted to develop or come to planet Earth.

Clarke eloquently paints a picture of a powerful force that swept through space when the earth was half of its present age. The force and the roar were incomprehensible and the beacon was left on the moon to transmit a signal for millions of years. The signal was called a sentinel and it was there to watch over the earth and other worlds that could sustain life.

The pyramid that housed the beacon was eventually destroyed by a nuclear explosion. It was concluded that whoever left the beacon has to be aware that it is no longer transmitting and may return to find out why.

The story ends with a chilling speculation from the narrator:

“I can never look now at the Milky Way without wondering from which of those banked clouds of stars the emissaries are coming. If you will pardon so commonplace a simile, we have set off the fire alarm and have nothing to do but to wait. I do not think we will have to wait for long.”

Never before has there been so much speculation about extraterrestrial activity than in the first few months of 2020.

We reported a few weeks ago that signals were being picked up in Canada and that they were repeating themselves every 16 days.undefined These signals were being recovered from halfway across the universe. Astronomers have yet to formulate a full theory of what produces these enigmatic, rapid-fire beams of electromagnetic waves. And in the absence of a firm explanation, speculation has fallen, perhaps inevitably, on alien civilizations.

During his final tenure on the radio, Art Bell discussed the discovery of what he called an alien Megastructure.undefined I am sure many people were thinking that it was all part of the show, but even though the great storyteller was doing his magic – scientists stepped up to plate and made a similar announcement stating that astronomers noticed a star, 1,500 light-years distant, dimming and brightening, researchers suggested an “alien megastructure” or a Dyson sphere might be revolving around it, and collecting energy for its constructors.undefined

Then, in 2017, the massive cigar-shaped ‘Oumuamua barreled into the solar system, the first interstellar object known to do so, and prompted speculation that it was a tumbling spacecraft.

Oumuamua was a Hawaiian word meaning undefinedscout, undefined or undefinedone that comes before.undefined

In 2019, the arrival of an interstellar was also accompanied by a wave of Near Earth Objects that were passing close to the earth.undefined The abnormal amount also sparked some alien speculation.

A few scientists were speculating about the Bracewell or Sentinelundefined Hypothesis where back in 1963, Ronald Bracewell discussed a specific strategy by which devices could be used to monitor star systems for evolving technological races and also how we might go about trying to find sentinels that had been placed in the solar system.

The Sentinel Hypothesis is the suggestion that if advanced alien civilizations exist they might place intelligent monitoring devices on or near the worlds of other evolving species to track their progress.

A robot sentinel might establish contact with a developing race once that race had reached a certain technological threshold, such as large-scale radio communication or interplanetary flight.

It can be theorized that probes or sentinels avoid ETs reasonable fear that the recipient civilization may turn out to be hostile. Perhaps they are just as afraid of us as we are of them. If extraterrestrial intelligence lacks confidence, probes or sentinels need not reveal their position of origin.

Now we also have to speculate that probes may have been sent by multiple civilizations, many or most of whom could well be currently extinct. However, for the civilizations that may be spying on us – the greatest galactic currency is knowledge.

Consider this nightmare scenario: An alien probe would quite possibly be discovered by one of our probes. Or it can be observed by the International Space station.

The alien probe tries to defend itself by destroying our probe. But our probe destroys it because it is passive. In its last moments, the alien probe relays back to its home civilization a human-built robot probe looming threateningly. It’s not the kind of first impression we’d really want to make.

So we are forced to watch it travel through space without engaging it.

If you were in that position would you really want to sound the alarm? Would you want to draw attention to the space station?

Yesterday, it was reported that astonishing footage of a UFO hovering above Earth was caught by NASA cameras. The incredible video, captured on the US space agencyundefineds live camera sees the cone-shaped object keep pace with the International Space Station (ISS) above it. In a bizarre twist, the NASA camera zooms in on the object, appearing to show the US space agency acknowledges the UFO.

The footage was posted by UFO enthusiast Scott Waring on his YouTube channel ET Data Base and has since gone viral across social media.

The 22-minute long footage shows the bus-sized UFO moving at the same speed as the ISS, which moves at 78km/second.

At the end of the live feed stream, the UFO shoots upwards and disappears, leaving behind a green burst of light.

There is some discussion over maintenance of the International Space Station and then the cameras zoom in on the object – it is then that there are some coordinates were given. We can only speculate of the coordinates are about the cone-shaped object that I thought looked like a Wraith Hive ship from the TV show, Stargate.

What is most coincidental is that this is happening at a time when the scientific community increasingly recognizes the possibility of humanity encountering probes from spacefaring civilizations. In fact, last year the House Committee on Space, Science and Technology directed NASA to begin looking for “technosignatures,” by which it means alien space probes.

This is happening because many exobiologists now recognize probes are more efficient and effective than radio waves for purposes of space exploration or contact. As unlikely as it may seem, there is no denying the possibility that some UFO/UAPs encountered by our military are probes launched by distant civilizations.

There is no doubt that something peculiar is going on in space. It is as if there is some sort of preparation or change in effect that leans toward the creepy and unexplainable. There seems to be this strange alignment taking place and the planets are heading for some unexplained ethereal center. Something of enormous size is pushing things toward us and not a day goes by where there isn’t some warning about incoming objects both natural and apparently, unnatural.

Whatever is out there it is lurking now and possibly engaging with our military – the lurker near the space station just ads to the acclimation process of something piloted by ETI or advanced AI.

In 2017, we had Navy pilots sounding the alarm to the New York Times– from there. their testimony has appeared other magazine, online and on national television – there is still no sign that our massive Department of Defense and intelligence bureaucracies, or our Congress, are seeking answers to the UFO/UAP mystery on behalf of military personnel who are potentially at risk from midair collisions if nothing else one near-miss by a Navy fighter has already been reported.

Perhaps. With little effort or expense, the Trump administration could request a National Intelligence Estimate on “anomalous aerospace threats” or something with a similarly appropriate title.

He could make it a priority for the Space Force.

Alternatively, Congress could simply direct the defense secretary or director of national intelligence to prepare a threat assessment. These are modest, inexpensive proposals for assessing the serious concerns expressed by military personnel.undefined

Now, we all know that Pearl Harbor and the 9/11 attacks were intelligence failures but could a possible extraterrestrial incursion be the next intelligence failure we witness?

Even if there is no evidence of extraterrestrials involved with the military or space station encounters, our continuing inability to identify the radical aerospace vehicles violating our airspace is an ongoing intelligence failure.

All the people are getting are scant details and a myriad of contradictory statements.

In some consolation to the UFO faithful, the DoD has consistently been willing to say they consider the curious objects that were shown in the 2017 Nimitz and Princeton encounters to be unexplained UAP. What exactly that means, however, has been open for interpretation and debate.

After months of conducting interviews and uncovering previously undisclosed materials, undefinedPopular Mechanicsundefinedis revealing here that the U.S. government does indeed have a definite interest in UFOs.

Provided, of course, that nobody says it out loud.

Popular Mechanicsundefinedhas since learned in October 2019, staffers with the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the Senate Armed Service Committee were briefed on current UAP issues.

Insiders also say this past year, during a closed-door meeting with the Senate Intelligence Committee, undefinedBrigadier General Richard Stapp, Director of the DoD Special Access Program Central Office, testified the mysterious objects being encountered by the military were not related to secret U.S. technology.

If we knew for certain that the Russian or Chinese militaries had leapfrogged the United States technologically, there would be an uproar, much as there was when the Soviet Union launched Sputnik, the world’s first man-made satellite. Fearful of falling behind, the public grew restive and Congress promptly responded by increasing spending for NASA and bolstering science-education programs.

But nothing is certain – not at the moment.

What we are seeing buzzing the space station could be one of two things – an extraterrestrial spacecraft or something that has not been identified in the technology gap.

A technology gap does exist obviously as there is no discernible effort underway to verify the gap, much less close it.

The Navy has officially stated that it is “updating and formalizing the process by which reports of any suspected incursions can be made to the cognizant authorities,” but little else has changed. There is still no process for collecting and integrating pertinent information about UFO/UAPs from the myriad agencies and departments that possess it.

Meanwhile, NASA has been busy watching the activities happening on Mars.

InSight, the robotic lander has been studying the deep interior of Mars . It’s equipped with a range of scientific tools to probe Mars, including a seismometer for detecting quakes, sensors for gauging wind and air pressure, and a heat flow probe designed to take the planetundefineds temperature.

Studies based on the craft’s first 10 months of observations were published on Monday, and they paint a picture of a planet that is routinely roiled by marsquakes, as well as dust devils and magnetic pulses.undefined

Something is happening under the planet’s surface leading some scientists to speculate that there may be life underground.

Still, the issue of life on Mars demands new scientific concepts and issues concerning where to explore on the Red Planet and what to measure.

Astrobiologists and other experts tackled some of these issues last November during a conference at the National Cave and Karst Research Institute in Carlsbad, New Mexico.undefined

On the meeting agenda was a discussion of how best to test for extant life on Mars, with or without the benefit of collection systems. Such systems include a complex and pricey Mars sample-return effort that officially kicks off this summer with the launch of NASAundefineds Mars 2020 rover.

Conference attendees generally agreed that the best places to look for extant Mars life are in the deep subsurface caves, and in salt and ice.

While the cold, dry surface of Mars, with its harsh radiation environment, is widely considered to be uninhabitable, the subsurface has been hypothesized to be a viable, long-lived habitable environment, protected from the punishing surface conditions of Mars and a place where water could be stable.

Over the years, researchers have spotted pit craters on the surface of Mars. These features are locations where the roof of a lava tube has partially collapsed and created a undefinedskylight.undefinedundefined

Researchers at the meeting pointed out that Mars-circling spacecraft have imaged numerous potential cave entrances. Shielded underground as they are, could lava tubes be prime microbial real estate on Mars?

The chances are very high.

As the federal agency that is in charge of exploring outer space, NASA never stops being at the front door for all manner of alien conspiracies. It has been common knowledge for some time that NASA still abides by a 50-year-old policy of denial with regards to any information regarding discoveries in space that may abruptly affect the people on planet earth.

NASA commissioned the Brookings Research Institute in Washington to prepare a report on the likelihood of encountering extraterrestrial life and to detail how NASA UFO sightings should be handled. The Final 219-Page Report, published in 1960, was titled “Proposed Studies on the Implications of Peaceful Space Activities for Human Affairs.” One section was dedicated to the “Implications of a Discovery of Extraterrestrial Life.” The study is now referred to simply as “The Brookings Report.”

The report predicted that if extraterrestrial life were discovered, it could bring about “profound changes, or even the collapse of our civilization.” The report noted that such a discovery could come about at any time and that any admission of UFO activity could incite fear in the public. It suggested that evidence of alien existence might be found in artifacts left on the moon or other planets.

The Brookings Report made no specific recommendations to NASA about continuing secrecy around UFOs and extraterrestrials. In one sense, it suggested that the public would be “less shocked” if the information was revealed. On the other hand, the report concluded that more studies needed to be done in order to determine how the public would respond “emotionally and intelligently” to the discovery of “intelligent extraterrestrial life.”

The report questioned whether the public should be told about any encounters, or whether the information should be “withheld from the public for what ends.”

Back when the Brookings Report was published; the world was a very different place. Space exploration technology was still in its early phases, and the prospect of sending humans to the moon was still a dream.

A lot has changed since 1960. Three countries have made attempts at sending probes to the moon. Japan has deployed jumping robots on an asteroid, an internal space station orbits our planet, and the U.S has landed a rover on Mars.

Maybe by their actions, we should understand their motives.
