3/28/22: THE JESTER IN KING RICHARD’S COURT W/ MR. GATES

Ron Patton | March 28, 2022

The Big Slap that was heard around the world last night at the Academy Awards is yet another distraction concocted by the Hollywood elite, as Will Smith allegedly assaulted Chris Rock because of a joke about Will’s wife, Jada. Whether this event was staged or not, it sends a very important message about how America is triggered and how what the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air did was put a nail in the coffin of American social commentary, no matter how controversial or cruel. The slapping of Chris Rock is a metaphor for what happens to the offending Jester in King Richards Court — you will pay a heavy price for insulting the Queen. Tonight on Ground Zero, Clyde Lewis talks with comedian and podcast host, Mr. Gates about THE JESTER IN KING RICHARD’S COURT.

3/28/22: THE JESTER IN KING RICHARD’S COURT W/ MR. GATES

SHOW TRANSCRIPT:

I don’t know if anyone remembers a show, I did a while back called America Will Eat Itself. It was a show that dealt with how the country will become fragmented and soon it will be difficult to hold an independent thought or crack a joke without being asked to go on an apology tour or face being made into an unperson.

It of course is an Orwellian concept… the idea that show trials were once used in the Soviet Union to humiliate people that did not want to support the leadership—they went against the grain or mad an off-color joke about the leadership.

They became marked by the government and the people. They would be put on trial by the court of public opinion – and then the accused realized that he had a while new group of enemies to deal with.

I am sure a lot of my listeners are gamers, or they have played video games before but there is a game called Half-life 2.

Around two-thirds of the way through the game you encounter giant insect-like aliens called Ant Lions, and soon afterwards get a special attack: The ability to “paint” enemies with pheromones which cause an unending swarm of Ant Lions to attack them.

Of course, the giant insects don’t know why they are attacking your enemies, they don’t sympathize with your aims and are not capable of understanding your plans, all they know is the chemical signals driving them to fits of rage.

We have metaphorically seen this type of attack happen in real life when the media decides to choose sides for you – they can make an enemy over night and all they have to do is accuse you of some horrible deed – and soon the Ant Lions go on the attack.

This is the purpose of rampant, hysterical identity politics. You can paint your enemies as a target and watch the mindless swarm do its work.

As much as “cancel culture” is portrayed as a totally organic process, without any top-down control, this is simply not the case.

It is almost never organic, and seemingly always contrived.

If you need to be persuaded of that, simply look at who is immune to it. If you want to see how the swarm is reacting to racial equality, free speech, and Hollywood hypocrisy all you have to do is point to last night’s academy awards show,

It is a clear case of how the Hollywood Limousine elite are eating their own.

I received an e-mail this morning asking me if I was going to comment on what happened at the academy awards last night. At first, I was going to send an emphatic no but as I was lumbering out of bed I started to think about it and thought that this event staged or not sends a very important message about how America is triggered and how what Will Smith did was put a nail in the coffin of American social commentary — no matter how controversial or cruel.

They are calling it the slap heard round the world. It has been water-cooler talk all over the office today — and it has become a strange distraction from the reports about Ukraine.

Lat night during the Academy Awards, Will Smith assaulted comedian Chris Rock on live TV.

Let that sink in — a comedian made a joke, then another celebrity strolled on stage and committed assault during a live global broadcast.

This is why you have to recycle through all the Fresh Prince/Muhammed Ali/Everyone Hates Chris memes in your Facebook feed today.

Smith , stunned the crowds gathered for the academy awards into silence after he stormed the stage and hit the comedian after he he made and insulting joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

Chris Rock was presenting the award for Best Documentary when he mocked Jada’s shaved head and joked live on stage: “Jada, I love you, G. I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it.”

What was odd is that Will Smith chuckled but Jada was not pleased.

Jada, who first revealed she suffered from hair loss condition alopecia in 2018, rolled her eyes at the joke and looked upset – which appeared to prompt Will into action.

He walked toward the stage and Chris Rock was smiling not expecting him to walk up and slap him across the face.

He looked shocked and then said “Will Smith just slapped the shit out of me.”

Stars including Nicole Kidman and Lupita Nyong’o looked horrified as Will slapped Chris hard across the face before shouting: “Leave my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth.” Chris tried to calm him down but Will repeated what he said again to Chris Rock.

The Academy publicly condemned Will slapping Chris and behind the scenes they went into full crisis mode.

Many comedians also weighed in on the slap — and there were very little that supported what Will Smith did.

What’s scary for many comedians is Will Smith attempting to justify physical violence when a joke offends.

Will Smith sets the trend for the old idea that sometime the King sometimes will put the court jester to death for insulting the Queen.

In a weird coincidence Will Smith won best actor for his work in the Movie King Richard.

In history, there have been times when the court jester has been killed for speaking against the King.

Monarchies of the day reserved their sacred right to move opinions out of circulation deemed inappropriate is a simple reaffirmation of that old battle between speech and its broad exercise. That such exercises be responsible is the authoritarian twist deemed necessary to have an “opinion”. If the authorities dislike it, then invariably you are not privileged enough to hold it – at least legitimately.

This public assault against Chris Rock speaks volumes about how the government and others see free speech in this country. They see it as a liability — no matter the subject or the intent.

America seems to be a nation that is constantly being triggered.

We have gone from policing speech to now acting violently against it

Someone once said “If you do standup comedy and you’re not offending someone…you’re doing it wrong”.

But now if you laugh at an offensive joke you are marked as being insensitive,

In a world where people get so easily offended, entertainment is perceived variously among audiences.

Even the academy awards has acknowledged that people are growing tired of woke Hollywood as the ratings of these awards shows have plummeted — and there have been stories about how some in Hollywood want to do away with the awards all together.

The ugly truth may be that Hollywood is now the carnival that in the business of manufacturing a car full of psychotic clowns.

The demand for a solution against all things that trigger or otherwise offend is catching up to us and as the great George Carlin once said “Political Correctness is Fascism pretending to be manners.”

Was will Smith’s slap the salvo that was fired at Hollywood and was the death of comedy and free speech delivered with a killing joke?

Ironically it was Chris Rock that once jokingly said that Hollywood has not enough diversity — that there was a lack of black actors and directors that get the Oscar.

Years later, we see Will Smith get the best actor award, and his behavior beforehand demonstrates how equality has a price — and we see the black community suffer as we see a black man assault another black man on live TV,

He could have said in his acceptance speech that what Rock said was insensitive to those who have to go through the hell of having alopecia — it could have been done with class but instead he practically justified his assault.

Tears streaming down his face, Smith apologized to the film academy–he said “I’m being called on in my life to love people and to protect people and to be a river to my people,” but yet he assaulted someone before he extolled the virtues of love.

Reporters, journalists, satirists, and comediennes are now walking on eggshells in an era where people do not see the joke of what we have become — we have become humorless and cruel and it appears that our attitudes are evolving into becoming joyless drones.

Remember the academy award-winning performance of Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker and the scene where he speaks about how the system is now deciding what is humor and what isn’t?

He tells talk show host Murray Franklin played by Robert De Niro about how the system decides what is right or wrong — how we are told when to laugh and when to cry when to fear and when to lay down and die.

Joker says: “Comedy is subjective, Murray. Isn’t that what they say? All of you, the system that knows so much, you decide what’s right or wrong. The same way that you decide what’s funny or not. Everybody is awful these days. It’s enough to make anyone crazy.”

He continues as the audience watches in disbelief:

“Have you seen what it’s like out there, Murray? Do you ever actually leave the studio? Everybody just yells and screams at each other. Nobody’s civil anymore! Nobody thinks about what it’s like to be the other guy.

They think that we’ll just sit down and take it like good little boys! That we won’t werewolf and go wild!”

For those who have seen the Movie we know what happens to Murray — the same thing that happened to Chris Riock — but instead fo a bullet he got slapped.

Many people have lost their minds and want to go werewolf on a lot of things these days.

We are a violence and war culture that can become savage in seconds. We are losing our sovereignty our individuality and the culture is on it’s last frayed nerve.

In the movie, Network, Howard Beil played by Peter Finch gave his academy award-winning performance when in his speech he said:

In the bottom of all our terrified souls we know that democracy is a dying giant, a sick, sick dying, decaying political concept writhing in its final pain.

I don’t mean that the United States is finished as a world power. The United States is the richest, the most powerful, the most advanced country in the world — light years ahead of any other country.

And I don’t mean the communists are going to take over the world, because the communists are deader than we are.

What is finished is the idea that this great country is dedicated to the freedom and flourishing of every individual in it.

It’s the individual that’s finished. It’s the single, solitary human being that’s finished.

It’s every single one of you out there that’s finished.

Because this is no longer a nation of independent individuals. It’s a nation of some two-hundred-odd million transistorized, deodorized, whiter-than-white, steel-belted bodies, totally unnecessary as human beings and as replaceable as piston rods.

Well, the time has come to say, “Is ‘de-humanization’ such a bad word?” Because good or bad, that’s what is so.

The whole world is becoming humanoid — creatures that look human but aren’t. The whole world, not just us. We’re just the most advanced country, so we’re getting there first.

The whole world’s people are becoming mass-produced, programmed, numbered, insensate things.

His words were prophetic because we are now seeing that people are lost – they are confused and some as George Orwell once observed are caught in the confusion of doublethink. Unfortunately, our world cannot be figured out without understanding its strangeness, especially now — since we have so much of it.

The country is suffering from a cultural post-traumatic stress disorder. We are constantly being told that there is a war that can go nuclear at any moment — we are told that we should care deeply for a country that a month ago was the but of jokes about Hunter Biden and Burisma.

We are being terrorized every day — gaslighted about our health and Climate Change. Many people feel bullied and mentally manipulated by their government and the mainstream media. This psychological bludgeoning has been going on for two years and it is equally disturbing to watch others fall for it all and not think about how they are agreeing with and practicing their initiation ritual that will result in their own death and destruction.

We are all so exhausted that we are now at each other’s throats, and we are in hair-trigger mode that is going the detonate — we have been hearing about the violence on planes and the inhumanity that we are all observing and our behavior is now becoming violent and cruel.

Our businesses and incomes have been ruined, and inflation is spiraling out of control, and a lot of us are still being gratuitously demonized, segregated from society, banned from traveling, and forced to submit to invasive procedures and wear medically pointless symbols of ideological conformity on our faces.

What Will Smith did is a reflection on what happens when we see radical social and economic restructuring. Families are threatened and all it takes is one straw to break the camels back and someone ends up throwing punches — or worse.

Life isn’t fun when you are trying to figure out who the Nazis are. Because it is feeling as if everyone is a Nazi— everyone is a fascist.

There are anti-vax Nazis, Qanon Nazis, Putin Nazis, Ukrainian Nazis, MAGA Nazis, fat Nazis, Skinny Nazis, Nazis that climb on rocks Tough Nazis , sissy Nazis ; even Nazis with chicken pox.

Wow that about sums it up right?

But we are not in the mindset to identify the controlling globalist Nazis that are pushing us towards annihilating each other.

The Intelligence community, NATO, and assorted private “military advisors” have been funding, arming, and otherwise supporting proxy wars for decades. Funding their GLADIO operations and pushing countries like Ukraine into kicking the fence so that the Russian Bear will demonstrate just how ugly they have been all along.

But of course, all of the lives that they slaughter are for righteous purposes.

How is the holocaust never spoken of when it comes to the labeling of Nazis?

With the majority of the Western masses brainwashed into a state of almost catatonic credulity and obedience, who’s going to stop them?

We are not laughing — we are not happy and we are not aware of the irony of the cruelty we are being given. again, it is the Killing Joke — it is the sense that even the Court Jester will be killed or silenced because he just doesn’t get it.

The truth is we as a culture don’t get it — but we respond to pardon the pun — “Slapstick.”

With all of the strange news that is pushing us ever farther towards Apocalypse, I would say that maybe it is time to reevaluate our values as Americans. We need a big-picture view of America – where we are, how did we get to this moment in time, and better still, we need to take the time to know where we are going.

History does not repeat itself anymore – it now screams at the top of its lungs: “Why haven’t you learned anything from me?” Why is it that we keep doing the same thing expecting a different outcome?

The bottom line is that the circus we are in is ripe with strangeness, where the explanations of the unexpected are inherent of low reliability, and, most importantly, we should expect further surprises.

We will go from slaps to public humiliation, to a metaphoric hanging in the public square. We will no longer need show trials when people are willing to be judge and jury as to what is funny or not.

In 1939, science fiction author, Robert Heinlein created a timeline, the framework within which he wrote many of his greatest stories. On it is the period he called the “crazy years”. While he got the specifics wrong, that description aptly describes our time. We have made the crazy years into what our World is today.

Heinlein wrote of the crazy years: “Considerable technical advance during this period, accompanied by a gradual deterioration of mores, orientation, and social institutions, terminating in mass psychoses in the sixth decade, and the interregnum.”

Again the “crazy years” are simply another definition of the cancel/PC? offended culture we are watching now unfold. Its influence is certainly being felt by those who feel that much of what is happening in the world is absurd.

We are now in a world of constant chaos and crisis, eternally recurring “apocalyptic pandemics,” intramural proxy wars, climate-change lockdowns, “disinformation” attacks, mandatory genetic-therapy, digital currencies , and gender confusion .

We are in a world not governed as much as “guided” by non-governmental global-governance entities, global corporations, billionaires, banks, investment management firms, and, of course, the military and intelligence communities.

History should be a guide as to how to correct the problems that are associated with the absurdity that America is experiencing now.

It is out of control — we now take advantage of the unfortunate failures of others– jokes are cruel and the repercussions are violent and the slapping of Chris Rock is a metaphor of what happens to the offending Jester in King Richards Court — you will pay a heavy price for insulting the Queen.

Well, you certainly made some good points. And, the quote from the Joker, “…..Nobody is civil anymore. Nobody thinks about what it’s like to be the other guy. They think we’ll just sit down and take it like good little boys. That we won’t werewolf and go wild!” is so true! And, it certainly describes how women have been treated in America at least since I’ve been alive and I’m 67. But, what Will did to Chris is also just a common occurrence in the black culture. And, Chris was lucky he didn’t get a bullet. The real problem now is what is going to happen to Will as he not only “dissed” Chris but did it on national TV. And, frankly, I don’t think you are right to allude to what happened between these two black men acting like so many in their culture do to everyone else in America. Because that’s the real issue in America I feel. We have cultures in America becoming more mainstream that are historically violent. And, they’re being allowed to influence others in America which isn’t. From gangs, drug use, wearing hats backwards and dressing inappropiately, etc. And, now, this. This is just another example of how cultures like this are destroying America. It’s not global rich billionaires unless cultures like the black culture actually are billionaires. I mean, look at what life is like and has always been like in Africa. And, it’s the constant violent way of life that made them susceptible to becoming enslaved thousands of years ago (because black slavery existed long before America did).

You nailed it. Drugs. The meth of the masses. Who pushed this most addictive, demonic mind-alterring drug. Made on a stove top that most people in the world can’t afford. First it was cocaine that controlled people’s lives and brought them low. Prozac was a little extra help, that became other, more refined aggression drugs. I’m reminded of my initial exposure to the idle rich and their indulgence in creating successful acolytes for their empire’s management. Controlling others is part of Empire-building in all facets of society. Drugs are an avenue to do so. Whatever control method is sought is dehumanizing. At some point money and greed finally tip the scale, making mirth into melancholy, and following the drug leader into a congealed dystopia. How to get out? Cold turkey. Dump the public school that is dystopian. Allow apprenticeships at an early age. Limit the first three years of education to the three R’s, and music and art, and theater of the American revolution. Make teacher’s unions illegal. Fire teachers that don’t meet standards. School choice everywhere for everyone. No government curriculum requirements. Tutors for the challenged. We have to undue a system that has victimized it’s constituents. Standards have to be followed, not sloganized, perverted rituals masquerading as education. Can democracy, in an affluent, drug-drenched stupor reach these base-line remedies? It’s up to you.
