According to the ancient Jewish tradition, when God created the world He fought the terrible sea monster ― Leviathan. In the end of days, a bitter battle will take place between the Creator and the beast, and eventually God will destroy Leviathan. This act will symbolize the end of the world, as we know it and the beginning of a new Utopian era.
This thought contrasts the biblical Story of Creation as described in the Book of Genesis, chapter 1:21 according to which “God created the great sea monsters” and “giant winged creatures.”
But according to ancient Jewish creation myths, these creatures were large reptiles, and sea monsters. The winged creatures were bigger than normal birds and were hideous.
These beasts were called creatures of the abyss.
They were the Harbingers of Death and the symbols for the end times. Some say that these creatures are the fallen ones –many of them are angels that are harbingers for what can be described as calamitous events.
In the Book of Revelation, these beings were called unclean spirits and were often described as composite beings both, human and animal that lived in the bottomless pit. They were put there by God himself just before the creation of mankind.
Some of the descriptions included humans with bodies of frogs, flying serpents, humans with heads like formless dogs. There were others that were described as humans with bull’s heads – dragons with faces like birds, and one of the most terrifying creatures of all was the demon of the winds, his name was Pazuzu.
Pazuzu, the winged creature of Mesopotamia, is a horrifying entity with glowing eyes and a face like a dog. The Book of Revelation also describes the demonic winged locusts from the abyss armed as battle horses with human faces.
All of these creatures were seen as harbingers of the end times. It is also said that the key to the bottomless pit would be handed over to Abaddon the Destroyer to let lose the creatures that God put asunder at the time of creation.
Abaddon is the destroying angel of the bottomless pit. His name is derived from the Hebrew, abad, to be ruined or “lost,” meaning the lost one, but the full name of Abaddon means “destruction”. The word appears in Greek and Hebrew, but not in Latin.
His name in Greek was Apollyon and used in the Old Testament to mean, hell. This angel-prince of the abyss is the leader of the locusts of Revelation and is typified as the cause of wars and upheavals, the minister of death and author of havoc on Earth.
Abbadon is an enigma. At times, he is an angel of judgment, not of Satan but of God, destroying at God’s bidding.
Both Heaven and Hell claim him as an ally, other times as an enemy. It is clear that he is the angel who will command the monstrous horde of creatures from the Abyss that will rampage over the Earth.
There have been numerous religious scholars and analysts that have made good arguments about how the Earth is in constant ebb and flow through the veil.
Many people believe that we live in the last days –and that in these times supernatural stories will become common and that we should expect the arrival of these dark entities from other dimensions and perhaps from outer space.
Satan is known as the prince of the power of the air, and many Christians now believe that the threats form the air –namely UFOs and aliens are the fallen ones that wish to come back and create a war between the faithful and the profane.
Paranormal stories come in waves, ghost stories and UFO reports sometimes increase and decrease – most UFO stories happen in the summertime as people are enjoying outdoor events more. Ghost stories of course are more common in the fall and winter months.
The rarest of all stories of course are crypto creature sightings.
We know that there has been an increase of Bigfoot sightings last summer and it appears that the Loch Ness monster has been sighted from 2020 into 2021,
The rarest sightings are that of the Chupacabra, the well-known goat sucker from south of the border.
Back in April, there was a report of Chupacabra attacks on Christmas day at the Santa Lucia ranch in the municipality of Medellin de Bravo in Veracruz Mexico.
Another creature that is rarely sighted is the Mothman.
However, since 2017 Mothman sightings have increased in Illinois.

It was reported by Lonnie Strickland at the Phantoms and Monsters website that two women and several other witnesses encountered a red-eyed winged humanoid along the Lake Michigan at Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium. The description closely resembles other sightings over the years of Mothman.
On April 15th, 2021 at approximately 9 p.m. at Chicago O’Hare an airport a worker reported seeing a creature that resembled the dark winged figure just outside the building he worked in.
He walked out of the building into the parking lot and heard what he could only describe as wings fluttering, kind of like you hear when a bird is going to take off or land. He said that he dismissed it as just geese, as the airport has literally hundreds of them that hang around doing whatever geese seem to do.
What followed was a loud screech, nothing like a goose’s honk but a very, very loud, ear-splitting screech like what you hear when a train is applying its brakes; but he said it was different as it went from a higher octave to a lower one and then higher again. He said that he knew it was not the train as the train tracks are on the other side of the airport, about three to four miles away.
He continued walking toward his car, when he heard the screech again and it sounded like it was coming from behind him. He turned and looked toward the trees over by the road and saw what looked like two red eyes looking right at him. he sat there looking at those eyes for what seemed an eternity, He couldn’t move and it felt like the air was being sucked out of his lungs, almost like he was having an asthma attack.
He goes on to say that he saw this thing emerge from around the trees, it was illuminated from behind by the warehouses that were across the road, and it must have been seven to eight feet tall and was black. About this time a large truck was coming down the road, and it shot into the air and was gone in the matter of a second.
Mothman sightings in Illinois have been reported in great volume so much so that I have had listeners write me and ask if something bad will happen in Chicago. The reason I think they ask this is because of the notorious story about the Mothman and Silver Bridge disaster on the Ohio river of 1967.
We have spoken before about how the Mothman creature stems from sightings reported all over Point Pleasant, West Virginia in the 1960’s It was reportedly seen in the Point Pleasant area from November 12, 1966, to December 15, 1967.
The first newspaper report was published in the Point Pleasant Register dated November 16, 1966, entitled “Couples See Man-Sized Bird … Creature … Something.”
It was later popularized by John Keel in his 1975 book, The Mothman Prophecies, which claimed there were supernatural events related to the sightings.
The story was made into a motion picture starring Richard Gere.
The film stars Richard Gere and Laura Linney. The movie says that it is based on the story of the Mothman Sightings in Point Pleasant undefined but they take liberties with the material and although the story ends with the Silver Bridge disaster it also features a possible disaster happening at a Chemical plant on the Ohio River undefined as the Richard Gere character gets a phone call from the Mysterious Indrid Cold telling him that there will be an accident there that will kill thousands of people.
People ignore his warnings as the governor is planning a tour of the plant. There is no accident and Gereundefineds character is confused.
On the morning of June 14th, Liam my stepson came out of his bedroom to inform me that there was a Chemical plant explosion in Rockton, Illinois. He, like me loves Mothman stories and said undefinedDidnundefinedt you just talk about a Mothman sighting near lake Michigan?undefined I said well yes briefly -and he said pretty uncanny coincidence that before a Mothman sighting there is a chemical plant disaster and then I told him that there had been scores of Mothman sightings all over Illinois- since 2017.
An Illinois chemical plant that manufactures grease and oil caught fire Monday morning, creating a massive conflagration that rained ash and debris as far as 50 miles away, reports said. The Rockton Chemtool plant, located close to the Wisconsin border about 100 miles northwest of Chicago, caught fire around 7 a.m., leading to the evacuation of anyone within a one-mile radius due to possible dangerous chemicals being released into the air.
So fire the fore has been contained but evacuations in the area remain mandatory.
I actually marveled at the coincidence of both the Mothman sightings, the chemical plant fire and the coincidental nod in the Mothman movie.
Mothman has been considered a harbinger of some kind. Some have even theorized that Mothman is some sort of Psychopomp like Azreal, the Angel of Death.
In 1978, there was a report of a man wearing a trench coat standing in front of a mine located in Freiburg, Germany. Miners attempted to approach the man when they realized that the man was not wearing a trench coat but had huge wings that covered his body.
The miners who had approached stood in shock and after a moment the dark figure let out a series of piercing shrieks which would later be described by eyewitnesses as sounding like 50 men screaming and the sound of a train’s emergency breaks. The minors fled from the creature and the mine’s entrance, from a safe distance the men observed what would later be dubbed the Freiburg Shrieker as it folded its wings back around its body and stood motionless in front of the mine.
The miners reportedly began to busy themselves with clean up outside of the mine, hoping that the Shrieker would go away, it is unclear why they did not reported the beast to the local authorities. After waiting for what seemed like an hour, at approximately 8am, the miners were startled by a massive subterranean explosion which rocked the mine and shook the very ground on which they stood. They rushed to the mine’s entrance to discover the Shrieker was gone and a huge plume of smoke and flame bellowed from the entrance of the mine.
When the smoke and flame died down and officials were able to examine the mine, it was determined that all 36 miners, should they had been at their designated posts, would have perished. This has lead some investigators to suggest the Freiburg Shrieker appeared that day to prevent the men from entering the mine and in the process, saved their lives.
In 1986, shortly before the Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster a human looking creature with wings was supposedly sighted, giving some credibility to the idea that the creature is sign of a nearing horrific event.
Four workers at the Chernobyl plant made reports of seeing the creature over the site, and even stranger still, those who had made reports or claimed to have seen it, went on to state they had suffered from horrific nightmares.
Some claimed it looked like a birdman with red eyes, while others stated it appeared to them to be headless.
Responders who entered the disaster zone in the hours following the initial explosion also apparently stated that they witnessed a winged creature “circling in and out of the black smoke.”
The creature became known in legend and folklore as the Black Bird of Chernobyl. It hasn’t been seen since.
There were also rumored sightings of winged human creatures near the World Trade Center before and during the collapse of the Twin Towers.
I have confessed that my favorite unknown creature is the Mothman – I have been reading about the legends of these creatures and before Point Pleasant’s sightings there have been stories of these birdmen dating thousands of years.
Whether they are winged angels or winged demons are anyone’s guess – they almost always seemed to be associated with witchcraft or sorcery.
I have always been intrigued by what is called undefinedThe Harbingerundefined theories about the creature, that he could be Azrael, the Angel of Death or Thanatos a winged creature and messenger and god of death in ancient Greek. He carried the message of death by the gods. He also was considered to be a undefineddaemonundefined and therefore a neutral-chaotic entity related to the nature.
I have also theorized that Mothman could be the Mesopotamian demon Pazuzu.
Pazuzu was also a god of death and king of the demons in Sumerian Mythology. When he shows up at a certain place, there are events of of sickness and pestilence like flies and other venomous creatures. .He also represented the southwestern wind, the bearer of storms and drought, life, death, creation and destruction.
There is also the Sumerian, Erra, who also has some of the traits of Pazuzu.
There is also La Lechuza who, according to Latino legend is a witch that can turn herself into an owl.
When a Lechuza finds her target she will perch in a location where she can’t easily be seen and then will make either strange whistles or the sound of an infant crying. Anyone who attempts to determine where the sound is coming from is at risk of becoming –prey for the Lechuza, Lechuza will then swoop down and carry off the confused and horrified individual.
It is believed that hearing the cry of the Lechuza is an omen that someone in the household will die, a trait more commonly found in tales of the banshee. Lechuza are immune to weapons and bullets and possibly are immortal.
This is a very interesting time to be alive as these wonderful signposts indicate that either man’s thought forms are creating his ethereal future, or that all that we have been programmed to believe about an apocalypse is happening in ways we never could be imagined.
Everything around us is changing at such a rapid speed that it’s easy to get overwhelmed and it’s easy to stick to what you know—but sometimes it can be more of a matter of being stuck with what you know.
I have often been told that I talk about things that most people haven’t even heard of before. Needless to say, this is something that I am very proud of. I am also the type of person who believes that a lot of people have never really taken the time to realize the world is bigger than what a compartmentalized media can report about.
The Earth and the matrix in which we live is very much a product of chaos and have been formed as a perfect living space for man. However, through the work of the chaotic Master Earth, has become the home to fallen angels and they now watch the earth and shake the Earth through acts of catastrophe.
There was a time and it wasn’t very long ago that we lived in a linear world; everything happened in pretty much a straight line one change at a time.
Back then it seemed easy to keep up with all of the changes that happen every day.
The world is changing faster than ever before, but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t being acclimated to it. It’s truly a testament to the ability of humans to adapt to just about any circumstance.
Because we’re so acclimated to this world, we often forget how strange it is compared to previous eras.
The paradigm is shifting, the veil is lifting and events are baffling. We all seem to concede that all of the massive change can be attributed to God, angels, demons or aliens. However all of these conclusions are the accepted insanity for the moment and as any Fortean will tell you, this is purely business as usual in the apocalypse and business will continue as long as there are people pushing for an eschaton or second coming of Jesus, or the coming of a Mahdi, or some magical deliverer that has the magic touch.
Admittedly, events that are showing up in the news appear to be similar to what we have seen in the movies. The dreams and nightmares are manifesting in unbelievable events. These events for the most part sound eerily biblical. Stories that include earthquakes, eclipses, planet collisions, visits from “angels”, “demons” “space elders” and of course the return of a messianic God.
All of these events are part of a universal core belief that exists in the three major monotheistic religions. This leaves the people of the world in very vulnerable position.
We react by claiming that we do not freak out over the slightest maligning of God or Jesus. Yet there is an underlying offense when most religious people are told that perhaps God or any other externalized savior may very well be an alien overseer or master and that our devotion has been wired into us and that we are meant to be devoured or otherwise taken by our “God” by his will and not by our choice.
This is a frightening thought and has been the reason we find ourselves on our knees praying, or genuflecting. It is the fear of being taken or harmed that forces Muslims to get on a mat and pray to Mecca. We submit to an unseen God because this God was at one time seen and feared because this God would arrive with such power and such force that we could not comprehend such power.
The God that was seen probably had magical powers that could be described as technologically advanced. At least technology that was indistinguishable from magic. The heavens would open, columns of fire would be seen and in many accounts in ancient writings like the bible, prophets were known to be lifted from the earth and traveled to other planets and other celestial locales.
The very thought of a rapture or even the return of a god from space would terrorize the world.
Muslims and Christians awaiting the flashpoint of paradise do not know what turmoil this will cause. And yet people all over the world are saying that it is coming, and many are looking forward to the carnage of Armageddon.
This to me is a dangerous turn and is a sick celebration or welcoming of death. Some say that the way we cope with death is to create mythologies to warn us of what is coming. Storytelling and myths have a way of showing the deeper truth and belief that lie within a culture.
