The Loch Ness Monster is one of Scotland’s oldest and most enduring myths. It inspires books, TV shows, and films, and sustains a significant tourism industry around its home. Some researchers have ridiculed and debunked this legendary water creature, but now it is not as far-fetched as scientists once thought. Recently found fossils indicate plesiosaurs could have actually existed where the legend of the Loch Ness Monster lives because they were found in a freshwater river. Could Nessie still be lurking in this mysterious Scottish sea inlet? Tonight on Ground Zero, Clyde Lewis talks with paranormal investigator and author, Chad Lewis about NESSIECARY EVIDENCE.

Average people sometimes pretend to have this overt sophistication when it comes to certain subjects. When they are in public they sometimes eschew topics about the paranormal, ghosts, UFOs, and Bigfoot.

Whenever you bring up the topics, they love to remind you that they parted with their belief in the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus long ago. Sometimes they will tell you that they have even parted with their belief in God.

But that Logical brain suddenly drops the logic and acts on instinct when the creak of a footstep from an unoccupied room is heard, or they see their dead mother on the train or in that nebulous place where your peripheral vision ends and the unknown begins.

We have all seen those things that dart in and out of our peripheral vision, but there are people who keep those events to themselves out of fear of ridicule.

As many listeners to my show know I do not shy away from these stories because i believed are just as important as any political or top-of-mind topic –and even then I don’t take what is happening in the world at face value anyway.

You can call it a bit of Fortean skepticism, which is true skepticism with the idea that in an infinite world so many things are possible. and so many things imagined can be conjured.

I do a lot of painstaking research and analysis on topics that most observers would dismiss immediately.

Sometimes raising questions is more satisfying than having them answered immediately and sometimes you have to admit that sometimes things are what they are and when they aren’t you better have a damn good explanation as to why.

That is what I mean by being Fortean,

Charles Fort, an early 20th-century writer, and researcher, is famous for his work on the odd and the unusual that didn’t fit into a neat understanding according to the science of the time. People who are inspired by him are called, Forteans. I consider myself a Fortean rather than a conspiracy theorist because I like to analyze and report on weird stories, both political and non-political.

Fort spent years scouring the great Public Library in London looking for articles relating to certain phenomenon such as falls of frogs and fish, stones being thrown at houses from nowhere, animals from one continent being seen on another where they should not exist, as well as ball lightning, spontaneous human combustion and other oddities.

He felt that science was not being true to its own tenets since almost all such incidences were washed over with banal and mundane explanations that were simply pulled out of the air by scientists refusing to sully their hands with further research.

Forteans are mostly creative and imaginative, and we are also highly speculative. We go through life like children do on Christmas day. Everything we see from the darkest doom to the most funny and inspirational as a joyful experience that sums up all things living on planet Earth.

Charles Fort is well known for his quote about where he saw humans in the big picture.

Fort once stated that “The Earth is a farm, we are someone else’s property” Simply put, Fort was saying that humans are in a contained environment like an alien ant farm.

So in essence, the way we look at ants is the same way the gods or the aliens look at us. We step on ants, we kick over their ant hills, we use magnifying glasses to burn them and we don’t feel the least bit guilty when we do.

So, if this is how react to other creatures we see as beneath us — could there be creatures or even alien beings that see us in the same way?  Do these creatures or aliens see us as food — or do they torture us or even toss us around for sport?

I thought about the when I was reading some strange stories about body parts washing up on the shores of the Pacific Northwest.

Many people are aware there have been reports of severed feet washing up on the shores of Vancouver, British Columbia and Washington state. While there are most certainly mundane reasons why this is happening, like suicides or drowning, however at first the idea of “funny little aliens” depositing appendages along the Pacific Northwest shores was considered.

Others were wondering if there were piranhas that somehow got loose or even sharks or perhaps a sea monster — after all, no one has claimed the appendages.

We seem to immediately think aliens are involved with all of our unsolved mysteries, but when they happen near bodies of water, scientists tend to be baffled.

Scientists know more about space than the ocean or major lakes, according to Columbia University’s Earth Institute. So in a sense, a majority of the creatures lurking below the surface may as well be aliens.   It is believed that 91 percent of these marine animals are still unknown to us.

Of the 235,000 or so species we do know about, many have adapted to their environment with peculiar camouflage, mating habits and bioluminescence—leading to some seriously strange appearances.

The whole red lights in the ocean phenomena continues to go viral– remember when we talked about these strange lights in the North Pacific?

The other day I received a notice that the red lights were seen in the North Atlantic. I also had some very astute listeners who sent me pictures of red lights coming and going in the Great Lakes area.

Now we obviously wondered out loud about possible UFO bases in these areas, and we even touched upon the possibility that what is being seen could be underwater volcanoes.

In the final days of July there was a number of anomalous activities happening in the oceans that no one could explain.

Ocean buoys off the coast were dropping 200 feet. There was a 7.1 earthquake in the Philippines after 200 ft drops of the buoys off that coast. All of these buoys have been taken down now.

Scientists exploring a submerged mountain range in the mid-Atlantic stumbled onto something they can’t explain: An organized series of holes punched in the floor of the Atlantic Ocean.

The discovery was made July 23, and photos show the dots connecting into nearly straight lines … or trails … or designs.

The July 23 dive reached depths of 1.7 miles while visiting the summit of an underwater volcano north of the Azores. A remotely operated camera was used to safely record the discoveries.

NOAA posted photos that show the holes were found in what is otherwise a flat sandy surface.

Scientists invited the public to offer theories, but commenters have raised more questions, including some who wondered if the holes were made by someone taking core samples.

The discovery was made as part of the Voyage to the Ridge 2022 expedition, which is exploring and mapping the “poorly understood Deepwater areas of the Charlie-Gibbs Fracture Zone, Mid-Atlantic Ridge, and Azores Plateau.

The Mid-Atlantic Ridge stretches 10,000 miles from north to south, and is considered “the longest mountain range in the world and one of the most prominent geological features on Earth according to NOAA Ocean Exploration.

There question is what is making these patterns on the ocean floor and what can we say about the mystery.

We all know that the water dwelling alien Titans spoken of by H.P. Lovecraft are said to be a myth yet their spirits continue to haunt even the most skeptical of explorers. The waters still have many mysteries that lay in wait for those unfortunate enough to become snared in their perilous trappings.

Sailors who have traversed the deep areas where the creatures dwell hold sacred in their hearts what they have seen out in the void alone and sometimes to their sheer terror some of the more horrific secrets unfold and they never live to tell the tale.

Sailing out into the ocean can be compared to going out in space as there is life in the ocean that can be considered bizarre or alien and there are also those bizarre reports of strange craft, lights and sea creatures that get reported every now and again.

Sea serpents, megalodons and even the sightings of Mosasaurus maximus have been reported which is unbelievable when you realize that this huge sea dinosaur It lived from about 82 to 66 million years ago.

This large sea creature actually was seen in the Movie Jurassic World dominion and many people were comparing it to the Loch Ness Monster but both creatures are very different in size and habitat.

Four years ago Scientists set out to debunk or at least lift the veil of mystery that hovers over Loch Ness in Scotland. Loch Ness, of course, is the home of Nessie a water horse or Plesiosaur that somehow managed to elude the extinction of the dinosaurs millions of years ago.

Many cryptozoologists state that Nessie could be a surviving plesiosaur, which is a marine reptile that lived in lakes some 65 million years ago.

The prospect of the Loch Ness Monster holds people’s interest. The Loch Ness monster is a cryptid, a hidden unknown animal, which joins the likes of dragons, yetis, and Bigfoot.

The problem is that the creature has been fortified with a supernatural element to it.

Sightings have littered the historical record – some are compelling while others have been deemed hoaxes. Critics say it all benefits the tourist industry.

For four years now Scientists have been combing the loch for any signs that the monster exists or ever existed.

The Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) prepared a plan in 2001, in which they stated was “partly serious, partly fun,” this code of practice was drawn up in the event that a new species was discovered in the Loch. It states that if a DNA sample is taken of the creature it should be released back into the loch afterward.

In recent times, there has been renewed interest in Loch Ness after a group of scientists set out to find out what’s in the lake by using something called environmental DNA or eDNA. An international research team led by University of Otago geneticist Neil Gemmell began collecting water samples from the loch in April of 2018.

By sequencing DNA fragments, they wanted to find what type of species are in Loch Ness. Environmental DNA is a powerful tool for researchers because they can get a genetic footprint of an entire ecosystem all at once.

According to scientists, the hypothesis that a so-called Loch Ness Monster could have existed in the Scottish Highlands may not be as absurd as previously thought.

A plesiosaur—a prehistoric reptile with a long, slender neck—may have previously been in Loch Ness, , according to new research from the University of Bath published on July 21 in the journal Cretaceous Research. Based on their discoveries, they say that the legend of the Loch Ness monster might not actually be fictional.

The statement follows the discovery of plesiosaur fossils in a 100 million-year-old river system in Morocco’s Sahara Desert, suggesting that the reptiles may have lived in freshwater as well as seawater, contrary to earlier theories.

The Loch Ness legend has been ridiculed and debunked by some researchers but now it is not as far fetched as scientists once thought.

The debunkers have frequently argued that plesiosaurs, which resemble the supposed creature’s popular depiction, could not exist in the freshwater lake because scientists thought they needed a saltwater environment to survive.

However, these new fossils indicate plesiosaurs could’ve actually existed where the legend of the Loch Ness Monster lives because they were found in a freshwater river. The paper suggests that plesiosaurs adapted to tolerate freshwater and that many may have spent the majority of their lives in it.

In the report’s abstract, researchers said their findings show that “plesiosaurs and other marine reptiles frequently exploited non-marine environments.”

“Isolated bones actually tell us a lot about ancient ecosystems and animals in them,” Longrich explained. “They’re so much more common than skeletons, they give you more information to work with.”

“The bones and teeth were found scattered and in different localities, not as a skeleton. So each bone and each tooth is a different animal. We have over a dozen animals in this collection,” according to the paper.

Meanwhile critical scientists were quick to point out that this discovery does not mean that a Plesiosaur lives in the Loch now.

Although there are still sightings that have been recorded in the area.

Nessie was first spotted in 564 AD by St Columba.

Columba was an Irish priest (later a saint) who was visiting Scotland and reportedly compelled the monster to not attack one of Columba’s followers.

There is also the story that famed Black Magician Aleister Crowley actually summoned the beast of Lock Ness during an unfinished magic ceremony.

Crowley had purchased Boleskine House, on the south-east shore of Loch Ness, in order to carry out a series of rituals from The Book of the Sacred Magick of Abramelin the Mage. He had chosen Boleskine because he required:…a house where proper precautions against disturbance can be taken; this being arranged, there is really nothing to do but to aspire with increasing fervor and concentration, for six months, towards the obtaining of the Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel.

For Crowley, Boleskine House was a “Thelemic Kiblah”, a “Magical East”, where he could practice the Black Mass and summon demons. It is these demons that are believed by many to have caused the strange, monstrous disruption to the loch. Crowley later described the events in his later autobiography which basically go something like this:

…the spirits he summoned got out of hand, causing one housemaid to leave, and a workman to go mad. He also insinuates he was indirectly responsible for a local butcher accidentally severing an artery and bleeding to death. Crowley had written the names of some demons on a bill from the butcher’s shop.

Now, mind you when St. Columba first encountered the creature, he described it as a demon with a horse’s head.

In the journal called the Life of St. Columba, Founder of Hy, the creature is referred to as an unholy water beast that was exorcised by St. Columba.

This is a quote from the journal:

“On another occasion also, when the blessed man was living for some days in the province of the Picts, he was obliged to cross the river Nesa (the Ness); and when he reached the bank of the river, he saw some of the inhabitants burying an unfortunate man, who, according to the account of those who were burying him, was a short time before seized, as he was swimming, and bitten most severely by a monster that lived in the water; his wretched body was, though too late, taken out with a hook, by those who came to his assistance in a boat. The blessed man, on hearing this, was so far from being dismayed, that he directed one of his companions to swim over and row across the coble that was moored at the farther bank. And Lugne Mocumin hearing the command of the excellent man, obeyed without the least delay, taking off all his clothes, except his tunic, and leaping into the water.

But the monster, which, so far from being satiated, was only roused for more prey, was lying at the bottom of the stream, and when it felt the water disturbed above by the man swimming, suddenly rushed out, and, giving an awful roar, darted after him, with its mouth wide open, as the man swam in the middle of the stream. Then the blessed man observing this, raised his holy hand, while all the rest, brethren as well as strangers, were stupefied with terror, and, invoking the name of God, formed the saving sign of the cross in the air, and commanded the ferocious monster, saying, “Thou shalt go no further, nor touch the man; go back with all speed.”

There is a type of demon with a horse’s face called, Orobas,

There is actually a horror film called Lovely Molly where a woman is tormented by this demon in an 18th-century home.

In demonology, Orobas is a powerful Great Prince of Hell, having twenty legions of demons under his control. He is depicted as a horse that changes into a man under the conjurer’s request.

Orobas is faithful to the conjurer, does not permit any spirit tempts him, and never deceives anyone. I am sure that there are some Anime fans that know of Shin Megami Tensei, where Orobas appears as a horse with a human torso. He can answer all questions about the past, present, and future. He can also grant social status to his summoner and reconcile with one’s enemies. He can see through all lies. In Hell, he rules over 20 legions of demons.

Many people have called Nessie a Water Horse – a way to describe how the creature looks.

This is where the mythology begins – and the legends start but science wants to settle the argument over whether the creature may have existed without the trappings of the supernatural.

The Loch Ness Monster is one of Scotland’s oldest and most enduring myths. It inspires books, TV shows and films, and sustains a major tourism industry around its home.

You can probably say with all honesty that scientific analysis will do nothing to dampen the spirits of those who continue to have sighting of the creature.

The Loch Ness Monster has evolved into a worldwide icon.
