Marie D. Jones
Marie is the author of over 26 non-fiction books on disaster preparedness, the paranormal, ancient knowledge, unknown mysteries, UFOs and alien technology, surveillance and technology, conspiracy theories, metaphysics, human potential, spirituality, and cutting-edge science, including “PSIence: How Quantum Physics and New Science May Explain the Existence of Paranormal Phenomena,” “Destiny VS. Choice,” ” “The Déjà vu Enigma,” “The Disaster Survival Guide,” and “The Power of Archetypes.” She co-wrote “Supervolcano: The Catastrophic Event that Changed the Course of Human History” with her late father, geophysicist Dr. John Savino. Her current books include: “Disinformation and You: Identify Propaganda,” “Toxin Nation: The Systematic Poisoning of Our Air, Water, Food, and Bodies,” “Celebrity Ghosts and Notorious Hauntings,” and “The Afterlife.”
She is a novelist and writes novellas and eBooks solo and with her writing partner, Denise A. Agnew. Her novels include “Bullies Beware: EKHO is Here!” a middle grade book based on her son’s real-life spy group when he was bullied in grade school; “The Dim,” a horror novel written with Denise A. Agnew; “The Shapeshifter Stone,” an urban fantasy; and “Freak,” a paranormal romance/thriller. She also writes science fiction and conspiracy novels under the name M.D. Jones, including the upcoming “File A,” “Black Mariah,” and “Grey: The Sky is Falling.”
As a screenwriter, she has sold and optioned several projects including a romantic comedy, “Mistletoe Connection,” which premiered on the cable channel UPtv November 2023, and a thriller, “Secrets Beneath the Floorboards,” which premiered on Lifetime Movie Network in October 2023. She recently ventured into indie films, having written and co-produced three short films on the festival circuit, including “Kings Boulevard” and ‘Graduation Afternoon,” based on a Stephen King short story for his Dollar Baby program. She has also written short stories, articles, guest blogs, reviews, and essays for dozens of magazines and publications, and has appeared on television, at major speaking events, and on over 2,500 radio shows and podcasts all over the world. She also has her own line of humorous and fun journals, called Attitudenals.
Marie has an extensive background in journalism, new science, ufology, the paranormal, and metaphysics. She is a regular contributor to New Dawn Magazine, and a long-time member of the Mutual UFO Network, for which she was a field investigator in Los Angeles and San Diego for over 15 years. She has appeared on the History Channel’s “Ancient Aliens” and “Nostradamus Effect” series and served as a UFO consultant on the 2009 Universal Pictures promotional campaign for “The Fourth Kind.”
She is also a fully-trained CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) disaster “second” responder trained through FEMA, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Red Cross. She is a horse racing enthusiast owning shares in several horses, and most importantly, the single mom of one amazing son, whom she cherishes. She lives in San Diego, California.
