Obamageddon

Today the media world has become soft. It has become malleable and unfortunately it is highly controlled. It only responds to disaster and then hires two political pundits to analyze what it means.
As History unfolds it becomes quite clear that how we interpret it is based on quick glances at a newspaper , a magazine or new program that is owned and operated by a company that has a controlling political interest in what is being reported. This type of journalism is what you would expect in a country where the press is not free.
It usually turns up in countries that are highly controlled. Countries with State run newspapers and state run radio and TV stations. The state of the media has been declared dead by old timers who long for the days of real journalism. Where hunting for the blockbuster story was as stimulating as delivering it. Now those days have long passed and no one stops to understand that sometimes it takes more than a television show or a newspaper columnist to get the whole story.
It becomes necessary to see beyond the media that enjoys the company of the powerful and looks away from those who feel powerless.
Current events have so many interpretations and it is wise to understand that the events that unfold now and the events we downplayed in the past are what will determine future trends. Unless of course by some miracle we see a Deus Ex Machine appear from out of nowhere forcing us to change yet again and push us into a place that we didn’t expect to be.
Barack Obama seems to be waiting for an event to take place where he will regain his popularity and take position as the “father” of the New World Order. What is waiting in the wings is Obama’s moment where he can become a world leader and guardian angel. In the mess of a crisis, he will be made to look like a God planning wars and executing the next world war to reduce the population and stabilize the economy.
Accidental history provides that for us in the form of Earthquakes, floods, and Hurricanes. Devastating fires, mudslides even the idea of an asteroid dropping from the sky could change the way we view the future. Since The attacks of September 11th, 2001 it seems that Americans are waiting for that point in time. A time where a major event can alter the way we live. The hope is that the change will not hurt or kill. The hope is that if the event has to hurt or kill it won’t hurt or kill you or your family. The event would have to hurt or kill someone else.
You always take for granted that you will never be in the cross hairs of a rogue element within a government. You never suspect that the cattle trucks lying in wait are for human carrion and the camps that have been built are only for criminals. Americans have never faced the refugee experience on a grand scale.
We have seen resettlement with the Katrina disaster and other disasters elsewhere. Can you even picture a devalued America, where companies have in house rebellions, total strikes, transportation halts, and mass terrorist attacks from Americans that are worried about the future? Can you imagine food riots, gas wars, and mass arrests because of new laws that obfuscate the American people? The future will be called OBAMAGEDDON and it will be the harshest time in the history of the United states.
