Chupacabra is back in the news with the recent Netflix movie, CHUPA. There are various depictions of this misunderstood cryptid within folklore and pop culture. The initial sightings described it as a demonoid blood feeder or sucker with red eyes and leather wings. It would fly and attack chickens and feed on the blood of goats. Some regard it as a swamp creature that looks like a wild dog. The Latino version of the Chupacabra appears to be more like a Skinwalker or Dogman. Perhaps this mythological creature is the “demon of the abyss” that has been spoken of for centuries. On Ground Zero, Clyde Lewis talks with cryptid researcher, Aaron Deese about CHUPA DUPA.

This is what I am beginning to think as we are seeing major earthquakes being reported all over the planet and chilling warnings that a lot of fault lines are ready to slip, and that the Earth’s crust is dissolving into the mantle in the southeast.
As far back as 1958, scientist Charles Hapgood claimed that the shifting of the earth’s crust and a future core displacement could accelerate the possibility of land mass ripping, extreme weather, extreme cold, remarkably huge tsunamis racing around the globe and super storms with incredible wind velocity. Earthquakes would buckle the land masses and volcanoes would explode furiously.

It is a never ending game of second guessing as to what is reportable and what is sketchy. It makes my job harder and it makes it more difficult to claim credibility when you are fooled into passing around a story that is intentionally deceptive.

Without sounding too anatomically demeaning, we don’t think very much about the three pounds of gray matter that is encased in our skulls. We use it to think, but do we stop to think about why we think and why we accept certain things as truth? The truth as simple as it maybe, is that every day, our brains use a vastly simplified, symbolic model of reality and we store all of it in this relatively small space.
Every day, we are forced to observe critically a world that has been said to be infinitely scaled and interpreted by science. This is a myth, because there are limitations that have been presented to us by science and there are even more limitations provided by religious dogma.
