Transcript for 10/8/24: THE KILLING JOKE – FOLIE A DEUX

Over the weekend, I took my family to see the Joker sequel even though the critics were tearing it down. After the film, my stepson Liam called it a masterpiece. He was dead serious, and I asked him why --and he said it reflects today's society. The elite want us all to smile, and be joyous but when we refuse and say "I am not happy with things, that I don't want to be in Clown world anymore, you get what others think you deserve."

Saying I am unhappy, and that you are fed up is a moral failing anymore because all that we hear is that we are moving forward as one big happy family.

Smile everything is Okay.

I then remembered that as I was in the theater I saw posters of coming attractions.

It was weird because I started getting more than creeped out over the poster that promoted the New Movie "Smile 2" the sequel to the film where people put on this vacuous devil smile before they die.

I realized that the Trickster is now in charge and these films are warning you about how hard it is to be happy when people are about to be changed in the future.

Change is not always easy.

Think of all the movies that are coming out that deal with the Trickster -- the joker in the deck that is there to mock you.

A trickster is a folkloric character that can be found around the world. Tricksters are known for having no fixed nature, and they can be charming even when they are lying. They can also be arrogant, insubordinate, intelligent, and chatty.

There is Joker 2, Venom 3, Smile 2, and Terrifier 3 are all out this month.

All featuring either creepy clowns or an insane trickster that grins - it was also ‘World Smile Day’ last Friday.

Synchronicity perhaps? Forced propaganda? Predictive programming?

Terrifier III is about a Killer Clown-- the opening sequence is so horrifying that people are passing out and throwing up in the theaters.

Venom 3 is the last in the trilogy which also features a tarry-looking trickster that lives inside a man.

There is also a TV series that features Pennywise, the clown from Stephen King's IT called "Welcome to Derry." It is set to be the origin story of the Killer Clown Pennywise.

There is a dark metaphor being sent that the devil can be charming and he can give you whatever you desire, all you have to do is buy into the fake happiness-- all you have to do is take that red balloon from the clown at the butcher shop disguised as a Big Top,

The idea is that the terrifying trickster traumatizes you and begs you to enjoy it --because it is for your own good-- it is good for the benefit of all.

The more you suffer the more it shows how much you really care.

Do your duty like a good trick Dog without the cracking of the whip.

Don't ever think you can escape the clown world -- you will pay dearly--what is your problem? Everyone loves a Circus.

As the smell of elephant feces forces you to gag on your cotton candy.

Tim Walz told Kamala Harris in his first speech after agreeing to become her running mate, "Thank you for bringing back the joy,” He has continued to invoke the emotion, describing himself and Ms Harris as “joyful warriors” against opponents who “try and steal the joy.

It was then we learned that this is a race between moods. What puts you in a good mood? Balloons, parades and cartwheeling clowns -- or Orange man with some plan to bring carnage to the circus?

Anyone remember Ronald Reagan’s sunny “morning in America” advert? Hubert Humphrey’s “politics of joy” didn’t win him the presidency.

Kamala Harris – like Humphrey, is a vice-president aspiring to the top job – urging voters to get happy when they’re worrying about bills, war and starvation could be counterproductive.

The Democrats are hoping for the best – but even in a short campaign, vibes will only carry them so far.

The happiness and joy crusade is hollow now that we see that people are dying and Kamla is still laughing.

Even in the worst of times, we are being told that the holy grail for the future is finding joy. We have been told that in the future we will own nothing and be happy. All we have to do is realize there are no birders anymore and the bad guys are the ones that are trying to dampen your happiness with misinformation and lies.

This appears to be one hell of a psy-op as the propaganda gets a little annoying when the elite tries to sell you such joy while killing you in the process -- it is becoming a shared psychosis that we will all find contentment after we cast our votes -- and the media has devoted their love to a side that only feigns love and care.

Even while people are dying all around us the media puts a happy face on the day-to-day trials, assuring us that everything is all right as long as we all get together and be one big global family. Everything is fine if we just don't talk badly about the government -- because bad things and grievances kill people.

Folie à deux is French for 'madness of two', it is also known as shared psychosis shared delusional disorder, is a psychiatric syndrome in which symptoms of a delusional belief are "transmitted" from one individual to another.

It is the titular axiom for the New Joker sequel that is in theaters but it appears that the film has bombed meaning no one gets the joke nor does it want to accept the moral that it tries so hard to get out which is -- if you play the fool, or if you are a jester for the Kings -- they will treat you well, but the minute you rise up against them and stop joking around -- they will gang up on you and see to it that you will never do that again.

They will break you if you do not participate in the shared psychosis that everyone else has been sharing about their type of happiness.

Finding a smile in the graveyard seems to be the Holy Grail.

At every turn are ‘how-to’ happiness books, articles, TV and radio programs, videos and websites. There are happiness institutes, camps, clubs, classes, cruises, workshops, and retreats. Universities are adding courses in Happiness Studies. Fast-growing professions include happiness counseling, happiness coaching, ‘life-lift’ coaching, ‘joyology’ and happiness science.

Personal happiness is big business and everyone is selling it. Being positive is mandatory, even with the planet in meltdown. Cynics and pessimists are running for cover while the cheerleaders are policing the game with an iron fist. Only the bravest are not being bullied into cheering up or at least shutting up.

But a society of ‘hypochondriacs’ isn’t necessarily a healthy sign. No one is less able to sustain happiness than someone obsessed with feeling only happiness. A happy and meaningful existence depends on the ability to feel emotions other than happiness, as well as ones that compete with happiness.

Freedom, something that Americans strive for is being replaced with happiness-- joy is the solution. just saying so and faking that smile gets you through the day.

You may not be free -- but hey you need to find happiness in that.

The presidential candidate cackles away showing how uncomfortable she truly is and how she wonders how long she can keep up a facade.

A President when asked about his dealings with the victims of Helene says "That they are taken care of and they are Happy."

Einstein once said ‘Happiness never appeared to me as an absolute aim, I am even inclined to compare such moral aims to the ambitions of a pig. The ideals that have lighted my way are Kindness, Beauty and Truth.’

If we’ve become a so-called pig at the happiness trough, it’s understandable. As higher systems of meaning have withered, life's purpose has dwindled to feeling good. Innocence, the lifeblood of happiness, is obsolete. We live on fertile soil perfectly suited for depression.

Now I am not trying to bring the room down but it is becoming very obvious that propaganda masters are pushing happiness and much of that is showing how people are somehow able to afford cruises, and big electric cars, and groceries.

It is a lie to keep you feeling like nothing is going wrong -- but people are not saying that they living like Americans used to and they are not being represented by leaders who care or even try to keep them safe.

While preaching happiness to the sheep, the realist sees a world of hyper-competition, stress, rage, boredom, loneliness and existential confusion.

You are not alone if you feel that way -- it is the way they gaslight you into being happy in a world set up to make you angry. People can hold it in for so long until they have a break.

if someone wonders why you are not happy, and tells you to smile --ask them what makes them happier than you.

The question that is being asked by people doing exit polls is "Are you happier now than you were four years ago?" We all know the answer but let’s be happy.

How can you be happy when you are removed from nature, married to work, adrift from family and friends, spiritually starved, sleep deprived, physically unfit, dumbed down, and enslaved to debt?

All of those who somehow manage you at work needs you to hurry up and do it now-- everyone has hurry-up syndrome and become fidgety when they have to wait -- like the driver behind you who thinks you are going too slow so they dart in front of you only to find a red light holding them back. How many seconds or minutes did that save? Silly right?

Happy now?

Many are stretching themselves so far that they have difficulty feeling anything at all. At its heart, the happiness and joy propaganda is a metaphor for the modern struggle for meaning.

We laugh only a third as often as we did 50 years ago – hence the huge popularity of comedy clubs --and even then they are going away -- because even though it is supposed to be a time of joy -- many people especially the college-aged youth appear to be losing their sense of humor.

They see comedy and jokes as a microaggression -- but we are all happy we are told -- we are told to smile -- like they want a grin at gunpoint.

When was the last time you made a joke online and was later trolled by someone who thinks that you are kicking their precious beliefs? They troll you and bully you until you give up?

Saturday Night Live has been around for 50 years -- it may just shut down for good after this season.

Lorne Micheals the show's producer says that he believes Liberals have no sense of humor -- but conservatives do.

“Democrats tend to take it personally; Republicans think it’s funny,” he said.

We make love less frequently and enjoy it less, even though sex is now largely deregulated and available in endless guilt-free varieties. Yet we’re the least happy society in history if we measure happiness in terms of mental health, personal growth, or general sense of aliveness.

We are being admonished to not go back and forget the past -- the future is bright and shiny like a new dime. But we can't go back because we never really have moved forward --we are still stuck in the 20th century, like everything died when Y2K began.

By the middle of the 19th century, social critics were already noticing how happiness was losing its social, spiritual, moral, and intellectual anchors and becoming a form of emotional masturbation.

Fake it till you make it has always been that secret weapon that everybody tells you works. But when a culture erodes into a mass psychosis where everyone is supposed to think the same thing -- we are doomed to fall into a world with no creativity and no expression -- They tell you to shut up now, that your ideas are ruining their control -- you see it is all well and good when the King sees the Jester cracking jokes and dancing -- but perhaps one day the laughter stops and the jester raises an army, and the King decides to enforce the security state.

The highest forms of happiness have always been experienced and expressed as love and beauty. A culture that treats people with respect --and does not resort to militant tactics that embitter the other.

Everyone has this uncanny entitlement to being recognized as an odd duck. You see this in the trans communities, you see it in racial groups that decide they are oppressed-- hell everyone is oppressed because they haven't figured out that they all share one thing -- they are becoming destitute, they are becoming the poor class and they are one less paycheck away from setting up a tent in the city park.

Many people are told to be happy, but when are we told to love one another? When are we told that we matter? When do we see help for the downtrodden, healing of the heartbroken, and the sick and fragile among us?

How do we treat our elders? Do we even respect them anymore? Do we ever think reach out to the youth who are terrified of a future that they are told is the making of those who lived before them?

The backlash against today’s narcissistic happiness is to demand better-- to love and to participate in service.

Remember that joy only happens when there is loyalty, friendship, moderation, honesty, compassion and trust.

You can't just paint a smile on everything and say its good -- it is disingenuous and lazy. This is what we are told needs to happen in order to stop the orange man.

Sadly, they are doing this: "Faking it till they make it."

The power elite really dont believe in your happiness.

Their preaching of love and happiness is not good for their economy-- they need you to hate something otherwise they would not have a political organization that is ready to fight.

Governments are the biggest players in the happiness conspiracy. Any political action aimed at a more people-friendly or planet-friendly happiness is certain to be met with fierce resistance. The best consumers are itchy narcissists who hop, skip, and jump from one fleeting desire to the next, never deeply satisfied, but always in the process of satisfying themselves. Our entire socioeconomic system is designed to spew out this type of ‘ideal citizen’. Contentment is the single greatest threat to the economics of greed and consumer happiness.

Some argue that as a society we are too programmed to selfishness and over-consumption for a sustainable happiness to take root.

Democracy itself is a problem when the majority of society corrodes and is coaxed into wanting the wrong things.

This is where happiness has a price. Joy is something you can't paint over the angst and sadness --when love and healing are needed so that trust can be earned.

Like a Killing Joke – most people won’t get it.
