WHEN BLACK EYES SPEAK

WHEN BLACK EYES SPEAK

When hell is full, the creatures that dwell therein will eventually find their way to earth. It is hard to imagine that in the natural scheme of things, there can be tucked away somewhere an overlooked phenomenon. A Phenomenon that by it’s very nature defies all things that we consider being normal.

In the silence we wait and hope that when we pull the covers over our heads the monsters will pass by our homes. We keep the night-lights on and say a silent prayer that even by it’s own composition reminds us that when we sleep the angel of death is keeping watch:
“Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep,
If should die before I wake,
I pray the lord my soul to take”
On your knees with tears in your fearful eyes you hear the wind whisper through the trees and you rush to the window and slam it shut. Your flesh crawls as you draw in your head of the close call that you just experienced. No demon or devil will crawl under the bed sheets at night. No terror can harm you if you say your prayers.
Then you hear in your head a small little voice that gurgles out the ice water paranoia you have tried desperately to suppress. It holds you transfixed has you put your hands over your ears;
“When the Children are settled , when all work is done
They sit around the fire having all sorts of fun
Calling out for the demons, and running about,
Because the Goblins will get you if you don’t watch out.”
The doorknob turns on the door to the outside. A knock that is faint is heard as you throw yourself on to the bed. You don’t want to move but think maybe you should. So you try to get up but you feel something sitting on your chest.
You cannot move your limbs. You try to scream but you are too frightened to shriek. You see nothing but the knocks become louder and the terror overwhelms you. You feel that your own death is eminent and you lay helplessly as the unseen demon jumps wildly on your chest causing you to feel nauseous, and shaky. Soon the room begins to become lighter and you understand that your pupils are dilating, in that quick moment of clarity you glance up and see sitting upon you a creature that looks as if it were from the bowels of hell. Grey and sinewy, covered in a viscous liquid drooling on top of you and smiling down as it moves forward to suck the air from your lungs.
The door breaks down and in rushes someone you do not know and turns on the lights. They have heard your screams and wonder what it his that has you in it’s ice cold grip. There is nothing in the room. You bed sheet’s soaked in sweat and your body feels the paralysis slowly slipping out as if it is oozing from the bed on to the cold hard floor.
Later you are in the bathroom looking at a pale reflection and thinking that no one will ever believe that you were terrorized by a night visitor.
When Halloween comes close I am an old fashioned kind of guy. I like sipping hot cider, miss caramel apples and love to sit by a fire and tell real ghost stories. I wish there were people out there that would just take the time to dim the lights and tell their own ghost stories and not be afraid to be laughed at. I guess that is why I have this show. It is always nice to have a bit of anonymity when telling a story. That way people don’t think you are crazy. These stories are valuable because they help us realize that we are all in a world full of magic and paranormal activity. I know that some cynical people will say that there are many things out there that are far more frightening than ghosts.
It is a time where we are constantly hearing about possible attacks on our military installations and homeland security sees to it that we are reminded that terrorists wish to destroy areas of open infrastructure in the United States. The news media has single handedly brought the fear level in this country to a fever pitch. We all live the nightmare of possible terror attacks, nuclear threats and all out war.
The reality of terror now gets top story status as we see the images of a Libyan dictator being beaten and killed as the phantom of Osama Bin laden exists because we haven’t seen a body.
The reality is that this human existence is a terror ride and enemies from all areas of the globe can pounce like a cat without warning.
Humans are far too frightening now, and our conscience is being sucked out of us and more and more people have less patience than before. We are seeing it in the eyes of people. There is emptiness in many people and as the windows are the eyes of the soul, there is a story right out of Portland Oregon about children with black eyes. Not bruised eyes, but eyes that are cold and dark belonging to children who seem to be lost, asking for direction.
This strange trend was first reported by journalist Brian Bethel on January 16, 1998. According to Bethel, two boys approached him while he was sitting in his parked car. Bethel described the kids as olive skinned boys wearing typical teen aged clothing.
The boys asked for a ride home explaining that they were on their way to the movies, but had forgotten their money.
Bethel claimed that he felt uneasy about talking to them and started to feel his stomach churn in a sort of “fight-or-flight” response, but was nevertheless tempted to allow the boys entrance into the vehicle. He gathered enough courage to tell the boys no. the boys became agitated and were more adamant about getting into the car.
It was then that Bethel finally noticed their “coal black” eyes, whereupon he was momentarily paralyzed with fear. The eyes were not bruised, but had no sclera, as if pupils were enlarged filling the iris of the eye.
The black-eyed beings seemed to realize that their window of opportunity was closing and their demands reached a fever pitch, at which point Bethel collected himself and promptly exited the scene.
They are creepy unnerving, threatening, sinister even inhuman. These are words that people have used to describe these adolescent children. There have also been encounters reported of adults that have been seen weeping looking for something.
They are pale or olive skinned with Black eyes.
Sightings of these black eyed beings have been reported all over the world, but believe it or not the best place to find a black eyed child or adult is Portland Oregon.
According to reporter Stephen Wagner there was a report of a young man trying to get an apartment in Portland and asked manager named Tee if she could come in and speak.
“He was young boy of about 17 or 18, approximately,” Tee says. “He asked me about an open apartment for rent. I remember feeling very scared and shaken by his appearance. He did not look weird by his dress or such. It was his eyes. I remember feeling the hair on my neck stand up, and I was shaking just from looking in his eyes.” “I could not look him straight in the eyes,” she says. “I felt like I was about to die.
According to the Black Vault report, there was a story about another appearance of the Black eyed children in Portland. In
August of 2000 an unnamed man posted in the Black vault about an experience he had with the Black eyed kids.
He said it happened on NW Glisan at a hostel at about 2:30 in the morning. at about 2:30 AM, he and is girlfriend suddenly realized that there was no more beer left and no one wanted to call it a night yet. His girlfriend reminded him that he had
bought a couple of bottles of Pinot Noir from a little place called the City Market earlier in the day, but they were still in the trunk of her car. He tokk the keys and went to the car to get the wine.
There was a misty rain falling and the car had been parked far down the block. As he opened the trunk to get the wine he heard a young voice say “hey mister”- the witness commented that he was scared to death. He looked and saw a young kid in a hooded sweat shirt with blue jeans standing in the rain.
His hair was black and his skin was tan. He had a Mediterranean look about him. It was then that he noticed that his eyes were all black. His first thought was that he was on LSD but this kid didn’t seem to be on a drug, he seemed very calm and confident. The kid said, without looking away, “I’m lost and scared, do you think you could give me a ride to my mom’s house?” But according tpo the account this kid didn’t look scared at all. In fact the man claimed that the young man started shape shifting into what he said looked like a wolf. He described the eyes as being deep pools of black reflecting the street lights.
The question is, what are these beings? Are they the undead? Are they vampires of demons? In every story they often asked to be invited in claiming to be lost. They ask for rides, or they ask if they can come in a house out of the cold.
The very Idea of Dead and the Undead coming for the living is terrifying. But one can feel safe in the confines of a movie theatre believing that nothing could reanimate a corpse. Zombies, Goblins, Ghouls, and their juxtaposition with all things alien can conjure up all sorts of inexplicable paranormal events. Movies like Night of the living dead, and Gremlins reacquaint us with the all too vivid reality that some things just don’t stay dead, and some things that are lurking in the shadows can jump out an convince you that death is the only way out!
